1. Vision of the University

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) as a world-class National Research University for
science and technology in agriculture and allied fields.

Since the university is a world-class national research university for science and
technology in agriculture and allied fields, CLSU can provide what the students need in
the present time, and that is excellent service and quality education to continue our
journey even though we’re amidst pandemic. We are in the new normal and that
involves online learning- something CLSU has expected already since the chances of
doing the face-to-face learning is really low and is highly discouraged by the higher
commission. We cannot waste time doing nothing so the show must go on. We cannot
stay in our homes doing nothing when in fact distance is not a boundary towards
learning given the fact that we are in the new age where possibilities are limitless. A lot
of things can be done with the aid of different social media platforms and those can
really help us a lot in continuing our learning. Our university expected this already and
because of that, they have come up with this plan.
2. Mission of the University

CLSU shall develop globally competitive, work-ready, socially - responsible and

empowered human resources who value life - long learning; and to generate,
disseminate, and apply knowledge and technologies for poverty alleviation,
environmental protection, and sustainable development.

CLSU is a world class research institute and it can surely give what the industry
and the other sectors in the present time demands- and that is providing quality
graduates who are globally competitive in their respective field despite of pandemic.
This Corona Virus is not stopping the will of the educators to relay information and for
the students to strive, study, and learn to reach their dreams and goals in life. This is the
new normal, let us use this tool very well and step on a new platform where we can still
showcase our expertise. The education never stops so as the learning. The CLSU together
with its students will continue to learn and research discover new things towards the
betterment of our country as well as our betterment. The future products of the
university are the future of our country as well. The government investments towards
the scholars in accordance to the free tuition program would pay off as the next
generation would produce successful workers, educators, engineers, agriculturists,
psychologists, accountants, doctors, and many more. The future of the country relies
indeed to the youth. One good move is to invest to them since they would run the
economy and the industry, the agricultural, and other sectors of the country for the next
consecutive years.
3. Quality Policy Statements

a. Excellent service to humanity is our commitment.

As a public institution under the mandate of the government, it is the duty and
responsibility of the university to give excellent service to humanity, and that is by
accepting scholars which are students who excel in different skills so that as time goes
on and they graduate, these people will be future workers of our country and will be
directed to their respective professions and will practice their expertise, whether that is
agricultural sector, the industry, medicine, education, and the like.
b. We are committed to develop-globally competent and empowered human resources,
and to generate knowledge and technologies for inclusive societal development.

CLSU doesn’t only provide quality graduates who are work ready and competitive,
but also the ones who are inclined into different demands, meaning they can adjust into
different situations, they learn and adjust to their environment, they get along, in short,
they learn how to adapt in different people, environment, and situations. Technology
wise, the products of the university can calibrate and do well. Also they know how to
talk to people and create good relations with their comrades and fellow workers in their
respective places soon as they work.

c. We are dedicated to uphold CLSU's core values and principles comply with statutory
and regulatory standards and continuously improve the effectiveness of our quality
management system.

The consistency of the university’s management system as it follows its core

values and principles makes CLSU continuously improving and also making its service
towards us better and better as time goes by. They are committed to doing it so because
its their duty and obligation. By that way, their service becomes more improved day by
day and time by time. Due to their compliance and doing their service in accordance to
their standards, it makes the university a cut above the rest, with that being said, CLSU is
never far behind when it comes to university rankings, whether that is local, or even in
Asia rankings.

d. Mahalaga ang inyong tinig upang higit na mapahusay ang kalidad ng aming
paglilingkod.
The voice of the students, the future of our country is what matters the most,
because what we need is what we demand, and what we demand is not just for selfish
acts but it’s what matters the most. It’s not just for our own benefit but it’s for the
betterment of all. Criticisms should be taken positively- constructive criticism to be
specific. This would serve a lesson for the higher commission of the university to do well
and perform well, do better, and see on what specific aspects they are lacking expertise
with. By that way, they can indeed improve. The youth will not complain for nothing.
They start to speak up for themselves because something is wrong, something needs to
be fixed or improved. Take it as a message from one.

4. Goal of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy

To produce quality graduates who are globally competent to assume managerial and
leadership roles in Accounting, Management, Economics, and Marketing.

The College of Business Administration and Accountancy is known to produce

students and graduates a cut above the rest. With one of the highest percentages of
grades required to be admitted, the college indeed creates the best of the best when It
comes to its students and future corporate leaders and workers. These students that are
soon graduates will excel on the different sectors of the corporate world which includes
accounting, management, economics, and marketing.
5. Objectives of the Department of Business Administration

a. To equip students with the concepts, principles, and theories of Management,

Marketing, and Economics;

Expertise when it comes to Management, Marketing, and Economics is the forte

of the Department of Business Administration, and it’s also their duty to equip the
students with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to be used once they are
already in the corporate world. With that being said, they have the technicality,
practicality, the intellect, and the skills needed to face the workplace soon enough.

b. To develop ethical values among students for them to become responsible

practitioners in the field of Management, Marketing, and Economics;

Skills when it comes to applications alone doesn’t define what you are as a
professional in the corporate world but it’s your ethical values that matters as well- on
how would you socialize and create relations with your fellow workers sooner or later.
Especially nowadays skills alone will get you nowhere. You must have a good personality
as well and must know how to get along with workmates or officemates. Your good
skills don’t matter if you have a foul attitude.
c. To assist in the development of communities through research and extension
programs; and

One important matter is a factor why many universities are behind and that is
lack of research and extension programs, this is one important tool towards the
betterment and improvement of college since with the use of RET, new discoveries can
be done and be applied towards the current situations being faced by the college
wherein by that way they can improve. Also, some problems that are currently being
faced by instructors or students can be solved by means of doing research.

d. To prepare students to pursue a teaching career or graduate studies in business.

CBAA doesn’t only teach students about lessons, do research, case studies, but all
in all, the college already make the students ready and prepared on what are they going
to face in the corporate world in the next few years soon as they graduate. They are
already being prepared to the reality while they are still on their undergraduate years.

6. Objectives of the Department of Accountancy

a. To provide a liberally educated accountant who can think and write clearly, effectively
and critically; has a critical appreciation of how to gain knowledge and understand the
universe, society and himself; has broad knowledge of other cultures; has some
understanding of and extensive in thinking systematically about moral and ethical
problems; and has achieved depth in some field of knowledge.
As we all know, the national passing rate of CPALE is really low so as a college
developing future accountants, they are responsible for doing extensive learning and
understanding of what are they going to teach. As licensed CPAs are the instructors and
professors in the college, they surely have the credibility and expertise to teach and relay
information because they themselves experienced the difficulty of the boards, the
passing rate, how the problems are created or composed, as for how should you study
well or the techniques. By that way, they will know, they will have their own teaching
strategies wherein they could help the students to do good as well on their chosen
course and as they take the boards sooner or later.

b. To produce an accountant who can act as a total business advisor, having sufficient
knowledge of business structures, economic concepts, financial management,
information technology implications in the business environment and in planning and
measurement.
The field of accountancy comprises almost every subject in the business industry
which includes marketing, economics, finance, and management making accountants
knowledgeable of almost everything on how the industry works. Students therefore are
having mastery with regards to how one is connected to another, and as their duty as
accountants they will know what they will partake in the corporate world.

c. To provide graduates who can perform as accounting technicians possessing the

necessary skills that will enable them to work as support staff working in accountancy
and finance division of both private enterprises and public sectors and in the present
highly lucrative industry of Business Process Outsourcing.
Accounting is not only theories but it also requires application. At the early stage
of being accounting students, they are already taught about technicalities and
application with regards to accounting not only with the aid of pen, paper, and
calculator, but also with the use of technology specifically computer application.
Software also did a great help towards the accounting process. Practicality and being
familiar when it comes to the actual application is one major factor towards being hired
in the industry or corporate world afterwards.
