Proposal

Rationale
I have thought and finalized the ideas of two productions I will be creating in the coming 2
months. I will be creating a suspenseful horror film along with a dark music video for the age
demographic of 40 – 60 year olds. I chose these two productions and the age demographic as
for the majority of the productions I have created thus far I have focused on my own age
demographic which is 18 to 22 year olds. I wanted to try something new with the genre of my
production and explore darker themes. I chose to make a music video as I had a lot of fun
creating my last one which was my last major project. In my Final Major Project from year 1 I
looked at creating 80’s influenced positive over the top themes with a positive song. I want to
try and improve on what I achieved last time in every aspect and this time use opposite
themes and types of music. I am going to try and further develop my editing skills in this
project as I want this project to be the best and most impressive production yet.

Project Concept
The goal with this project is to try and appeal to my target audience of 40 – 60 year olds. I will
try different forms of storytelling and editing to try and capsulate the audiences interest.
