Poverty and Delinquency.

Poverty has excessive effects on both delinquency and academic failure. It is getting worse in
the current world. Youths living in this blanket survive in low socioeconomic societies that do
not enjoy sufficient resources such as better jobs, good medical services, better education
services and, better health care. They are therefore exposed to Hunger, diseases and their human
rights are violated with the well off. Lack of resources hinders youths from financial
profitability. They

become idle, hence more liable to enter into criminal activities such as burglaries, prostitution
and drug's abuse.

Poor education skills play a bigger role in juvenile delinquency. Education is the light and the
foundation stone for success. Students from poor backgrounds are placed in schools that lack
good educational facilities as compared to the opportunity received by students from wealthy
socioeconomic communities. Schools located at the privileged societies serve the students with
more and better resources like advance classes and staff rooms, higher curriculum and skilled
staffs who are qualified to help the scholars. Lack of good resources in education might affect a
scholar who wishes to excel academically. Education, therefore, is the only way of unplugging
yourself from poverty. Most of the low-income scholars lack adequate resources and therefore
are unable to excel in education. Most of the young people from the less privileged societies find
no interest in their studies hence joining the path of crime and others going to the street as the
alternative for education.

Education should structure teenagers to differentiate between good and evil and to understand
the effects of engaging in illegal actions. Therefore lack of proper

educational skills lead to youth crime.

Currently, age is a factor when looking for employment. Most of the employers assume that
the aged are wiser as compared to the youths. This factor in return has a negative implication
towards the youth as they are denied most of the job opportunities with the aged who are
believed to be more experienced. Beyond cumbersomeness in getting jobs, it also discriminates
them from getting promotions for the few who are working. Minimizing the sources of income
for the youth to improve their chances of participating in criminal activities. Some end up
committing suicide due to depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, emotional pressure and strain in
the body. Youths with no job also end up engrossing themselves in violent offending.

So as to prevent juvenile offending in the current world, indisputably will be to assist not only
the young people from the less privileged societies but also their parents. The government or any
other stakeholder that facilitates learning should ensure an equitable distribution of educational
facilities between the haves and the have nots in the society. They should also come up with
programs to educate parents on how to raise salutary children. Others should aim at instructing
children on the importance of education and the effects of harmful activities such as drug abuse,
early marriages, handling of weapons illegally, the oldest occupations among others. These
programs should create awareness of the youths on the repercussions of these unlawful actions.
These programs are very weighty in that they encourage and give hope hence exposing them to
life opportunities.

Youths should also be equipped with job skills and be exposed to job opportunities. Constant
training and education to the youths are very important because it equips them in facing life
challenges. There is a need for the government in collaboration with other germane stakeholders
to come up with a model that will connect the youths and create a pathway towards employment.

If necessary measures won't be taken, juvenile offending will be worst in the current world.
We should place new demands to the youths, encourage, educate and give them constant advice
and open up opportunities for them to snatch which am sure will reduce youth crime in the
society.
