Workshop Lesson:
Restaurant / Menu
Tasks

The class will be divided into six groups. There are six desks, where each group can work on a different
activity:

Desk 1: vocabulary 1 Desk 2: vocabulary 2

Desk 3: listening* Desk 4: reading
Desk 5: grammar Desk 6: speaking

*You will find a laptop with the audio file and four sets of headphones on the desk.
At the end of each activity, check your results with your group members using the answer keys. Feel free to
ask me any question you might have! The group then moves to the next desk.

On your self-assessment sheet

 Put a √ in the box “finished!” (or “not finished”)

 Think about your results and put a √ in the corresponding box:

Were the exercises easy to do? Did I have many difficulties? Do I need more exercises? (…)

 Think about what you can do to improve and write some notes (e.g. what do I have to study? What
can I do to improve?). Make an “action plan”!

Example:

VOCABULARY 1 √ FINISHED!  NOT FINISHED

 It was easy. x It was a bit difficult.  It was really difficult. x I need more exercises.
Notes: I always forget words. I will write a vocabulary list and review new words every week.

At the end of the lesson

Please keep your report and exercise sheets, and bring them to class next
time to discuss the results and check the exercises with the whole class.
