Human Causes Global Change

According to what I have understand, that the term “Panarchy” describe the universal
nature and supported with unpredictable change. It symbolizes a framework for
handling the issues that pointed from the interaction between people and nature.
This term wants us to understand the cycles of change in a complex system and how
they can be influenced, and how such change occurs is critical on achieving a
sustainable society.
It is mentioned that humans’ activities can be a direct threat in the environment. It
can cause destruction, degradation, and the impairment of biodiversity and other
natural resources. Ecosystem threats include climate change, pollution, habitat
destruction, overexploitation, and etc. Human activities can stress the ecosystem
they operate in reducing its overall health and at some point, the accumulation of all
negative impact from human activities can exceed the ecological threshold of the
planet. Business activities causes negative effect on the natural environment such as
oil and metals are used to manufacture goods, unintended spillover effects on others
in the form of noise and pollution and is lost to future generations when new houses,
buildings or roads are built on rural sites.
Since before recorded history, environmental changes have affected things people
value. For example, people in our municipality have migrated or changed their ways
of living as advanced and retreated. Especially the farmers endured crop failures or
altered their crops when temperature and rainfall patterns changed. They made
numerous adjustments and collective behavior. Until very recently, people have
responded to global phenomena as if they were local, have not organized their
responses as government policies, and have not been able to respond by
deliberately altering the course of the global changes themselves.
Almost all human activity has some potential relevance to global change. There is a
lot of researchers studied human-environment interactions. They have demonstrated
that a complex of social, political, economic and technological variables, sometimes
referred to as driving forces, influences the human activities that can totally cause
global change. It is classified as population and economic growth, and technological
change.
Population growth causes demand on the environment for the essentials of life. Of
course, we need food, water, clothing, shelter, and so on. The greater the number of
people, the greater the demands placed on the environment for the resources and
the absorption of waste and pollutants. Another driving force was the economic
growth, economic activity is so extensive that it produces environmental change at
the global level. Economic growth necessarily stresses the environment, on the

pattern of goods and services produced, the population and resource base for
agricultural development that lead to national political organization, and development
policies. The higher output will lead to increased pollution and congestion which can
reduce living standards like in the developed country we may observe economic
growth has led to increased pollution and congestion levels.
Technology can also influence environmental change through finding new ways to
discover and exploit natural resources or the amount or kind of wastes that being
produced. Technologies may either increase or decrease the impact of human
activity on the environment, depending on the other driving forces, which determine
which technologies are developed and used. We all know that the impact of
technology on the environment has included the misuse and damage of our natural
earth but also causes changes in terms of living.
It is indeed, human being has polluted the environment at a large scale. There is no
doubt that the planet and atmosphere we call home could one day turn against us.
The temperature of the Earth has been increasing year by year in the last few
decades. It can cause global warming that can damage the whole chain of events
and disrupts ecosystems and weather patterns. We all will have to pay for the
reasons that we did.
Therefore, we have to put steps forward to stop or prevent this imminence of danger
in the future. We can still contribute significantly in reducing this tragedy. It seems
impossible to stop the impact of human activities but it is easy to prevent it by further
damage by taking few initiatives. Keeping in mind the apprehensions that scientists
and environmentalists have expressed in front of us, it is in the interest of mankind to
take precautions in time. Now the time has come for us to limit our needs and avoid
being too materialistic. Only then human can imagine society and manage to
mitigate the effects of this problem to some extent. This will be a huge achievement
in this direction. Otherwise it will not be easy for us to stop this kind of tragedy and
destruction.
