VIDEOCONFERENCIA

The video conference begins with the presentation of the tutor and director of the qualitative and
quantitative research course, it continues to explain the development of the activity, the tutor
requests to turn off the microphones to be able to have a communication asked by you, if they
already says mano, the course schedule explanation is made and it is explained that we are in the
second activity and that whose deadline is July 8, and it is spoken that the development of this
activity is two weeks.
The tutor expresses that the idea of the course is to learn different processes of qualitative and
quantitative research, begins by making a recognition and approach to the handling of the
platform and with the development of the activities, the tutor in the development of the main
explanation where the tutor explains it. activity in progress, once you reach the activity guide
explain the importance of reading and understanding the support material to develop the work,
then start to explain the development of the work step by step
Step 2: Journal on English as a Foreign Language
ARTICLE: Review of classroom practices and pedagogical approaches to promote academic
integrity in EFL writing classes
Can, E. (2021). Review of classroom practices and pedagogical approaches to promote academic
integrity in EFL writing classes. The Literacy Trek, 7(1), 78-94.
https://doi.org/10.47216/literacytrek.935608
- Read your chosen article and answer the following questions:
o What are the objectives of this research?
-The main objective of this study is to review the related literature to find out pedagogical
approaches they could use in EFL writing classrooms.

-Teach students how to cite sources and give references correctly, with the help of the
information obtained and the different pedagogical approaches that can be discovered.

-Establish an effective list of approaches and activities to put into practice in EFL writing classes

o What are the research questions?

what is the importance of citing correctly in the learning processes of another language?
-What pedagogical practices and approaches are appropriate for learning another language, and
how do your writing and grammar influence the teaching of a foreign language?
o What is its significance in the field of language learning?
Within the learning of another language, it is important to identify factors that are not perceived
by a native speaker, but for people whose mother tongue is Spanish, it identifies more aspects,
starting from the difference in techniques, strategies and translation methods, to how the learning

of Quoting correctly can be of great help in the learning process, in the foreign language not only
the ability to speak is developed, it is also important to know the grammar and its correct writing,
in the previous article you have discussed the pedagogical strategies that are use to develop
correct skills
Step 3: My Research Idea - Go back to your research idea based on your learning-teaching
experience of English as a foreign language at UNAD. Transform it into a research
problem. - Write 2 research questions, 1 general objective, 3 specific objectives and the
significance of the study in our field for your research idea.

LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE BY NEUTRALIZING ACCENT AND

FOLLOWING IMITATION PATTERNS

General objective
How to learn to neutralize accent within the process of learning another language in university
students whose strategy is to imitate the sounds of native speakers?
Specific objectives
-Design strategies that teach to think in English and not to translate verbatim from one's own
language
-Establish patterns of difference between a bilingual in training and a native speaker, where the
idea of learning to speak from the naturalness of their accent is included
-Develop material that allows developing the four basic skills of the foreign language, taking the
MCER as a reference.

Taking as a reference my experience in learning another language, the most difficult thing has
been to engage in neutralizing accent, although I have worked for it, I still cannot sound the same
as a native, rather I feel that I sound like a robot, many students fight With its accents to
neutralize the sound and it is very difficult to achieve fluency and memorize vocabulary, it is
important to break stigmatization schemes for our accent, if to generate comments.

learning a language influences discipline and taste, and from my experience the most important
thing is to stop wanting to translate verbatim, to unlink the rules of our language from the one we
are learning. The impact that learning has on a community like mine, which is an indigenous
area, is difficult and not very striking, since the teaching of this language is almost nil, it is only
seen in high school and it is academic English, which is limited to developing activities to

complete and repeat, so learning in a personal way has been very complex and more so from
distance education.

Step 4: Visual Diagram - Create a visual diagram, be it clustering, webbing, mapping, to

show your Step 3.
