[Q1]: Explain the seven C's of Effective Communication and

give three examples for each from daily lives.
 It is thought that for effective communication there is a need to
follow certain norms which are basically known as "7 C's of
effective communication". These norms apply both in written as
well as oral communication. The 7 C's of effective
communication are -
 COMPLETENESS: The message should be complete in all
respects. It should provide complete information to the
receiver. The message should be planned, organized,
structured. All the necessary details should be incorporated
in the message. The 5 W questions ( what, why, when, where
and who) should be checked for.
 CONCISENESS: Conciseness refers to the fact that while
communicating one should try to make a message as short as
possible. Irrelevant question should not be incorporated, the
words should be chosen in such a manner that they are not
out of context. The message should be brief and concise.
 CONSIDERATION: Consideration in communication implies
that the sender of the message steps into the shoes of the
audience/readers in terms of their viewpoints. The sender
should look at receiver's socio- psychological background,
previous knowledge, emotions, sentiments and need. The
golden rule "First understand then be understood" should be
followed. The focus should be more on 'you' rather than 'i'
and the sender should treat receiver with empathy.
 CLARITY: Clarity plays an important role in all types of
messages. Clarity implies clarity of thoughts and clarity of
expressions. S/He should be clear about the receiver,
purpose, mode and type of communication. S/He should
communicate the idea in simple and clear words. It implies
that the message should be as clutter free as possible and
that it is easily understandable.
 CONCRETENESS: Concrete means ' capable of being percieved
by the senses'. Concrete messages are vivid, clear and
definite. The communicator should prefer specific
expressions and avoid vague and abstract expressions. One
should be specific in quoting figures and facts as it makes
communication more effective and trustworthy and create
less chances of being misinterpret.
 COURTESY: Courtesy means "graceful politeness" and
friendly and helpful behavior. It implies that sender should
respect the receiver in terms of being polite, judicious,
reflective and enthusiastic. It creates a positive atmosphere
for communication and leads to effective communication.
 CORRECTNESS: Correctness in communication implies that
there are no grammatical errors, no dubiousness in facts and
figures. It builds up trust between the sender and the
receiver and makes communication very effective.

Dear Ms.Malhotra
Subject: Report on increased sales of Face Mask.

A sudden increase in the sale of face masks was

observed from the month of January,2020.
First of all, in January, pollution index was rising and
AQI Index reached crosses 900. For safety measures
and protection people have been buying masks.
As we know that the COVID-19 Pandemic has spread all
over the country and cities from February end, for
safety and protection people have been constantly
buying face masks. All this led to rapid increase in sales
of face masks. Our distributors and network marketers
have been working hard and are part of this increased
sale. Statistics says, there is a rise in sales by 10.8%. By
giving ads and providing preventive measure and telling
about the quality of the masks people are tend be
attracted to our Product. We are lucky to provide such
service to our nation.

And the numbers are still on the rise and we expect

these numbers to double in the coming months not just
because of the pandemic but also because people are
now aware importance of mask. I strongly recommend
we should advertise on social media and creating ads,
also through e-commerce. We are providing our masks
at half rate to the migrant labourers and workers as per
current scenario of COVID-19 CRISES.
I would be happy to provide more details, if required.

Yours Sincerely
Aniket Pandey
