Carlos Built Black Lodge from the ground up, but when movie stores started being phased out Carlos had to find a way to stay current. He bought

every rare film he could find, starting with Lemora, his childhood facvorite. During this he bought an unknown compilation called "Umbral Horror"

He watched it daily, as his favorite VCR wouldn't let go of it. It would start playing at random moments in the store. Carlos started writing about

a "spectrum of horror." He would sometimes wake to find pages of notes about it. And he would find strange films, some of them overtly illegal.

When Naamah and her faction came from the back of the store talking of the umbral horror, Carlos knew what he had to do almost instinctually.
