Personal statement

I Mr. Umair Khalid, am highly interested in for further studying in United Kingdom for

the purpose of gaining specialization in higher education in the field of law. Higher education

will help me to boost my career prospects and earning potential, while giving me the chance to

engage myself in a subject Law that really interests me.

I belong to a well-educated family. We live in Lahore, Pakistan. Which is famous and

second biggest city of Pakistan. We have two brothers and one sister and I am elder in my

family. My father and my younger brother doing their business in scrap steel/Iron mill sector. I

was born on 21-Feb-1993 and stared early education when I was 3 years old. I passed my

matriculation in 2009 and I completed my intermediate in 2012. In 2013, I completed my B.A in

political science and then enrolled myself in LLB. In 2016, I completed my LL.B degree and

enrolled as an advocate of lower court in 2017. Later on I enrolled as an advocate of High court

in 2020. Currently I am working as an advocate of High court and dealing with civil as well as

criminal cases.

After completing my LL.B I started my internship as a lawyer with a reputable law firm

and I handled many cases related to civil, criminal, and corporate law. During my tenure of

internship I realized that I needed to learn more and pursue my master in commercial and

corporate law. When setting my next academic goal on the way to become a successful

professional lawyer in the field of law. I tried to choose the best institute, where I could learn

theory and practice of law. To learn the best knowledge about corporate and commercial law I

came to know that United Kingdom is best place for master in corporate and commercial law. I
will be the first one among my relatives who have decided to proceed with higher education

with instruction abroad in United Kingdom with extraordinary support of my family.

Once qualified, my goal is to open a career as a commercial and corporate lawyer in

Pakistan. In Pakistan industries are developing are very fast as compared to the past years.

Starting from my homeland my goal is to take my professional consultancy forward to

international level. This LL.M degree will help me to move towards my goals that I really want

to achieve in the world of law.
