The Marketing Manager, Mr Kasim Ahmed of ‘Singh and Singh Pvt. Ltd’ was not satisfied
with the Marketing philosophy implemented in his company. He examined several marketing
philosophies, one after the other.

First of all, he prepared a large-scale production plan. He believed that several economies would
be obtained from the large-scale production. It would reduce the cost per unit and by fixing
a balanced price he would be able to attract customers to his side. But such a thing did not
happen.
Afterwards, he changed his thinking. His new thinking was that he would be able to attract
customers when the emphasis of the company shifted from quantity of production to quality of
products. But again, it did not serve the purpose.
