MS SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
1. What are your goals for after you complete the MS program? List in order of preference. Note:
Applicants aiming to obtain a PhD at Stanford should apply directly to the PhD program, not the
MS program.
3. Briefly describe an activity (academic or not) that you initiated and involved independent
inquiry, e.g. a technical project, or an extracurricular activity that you planned and executed.
What did you learn?
I was a part of the event management committee of the technical festival 'Tesseract' of my University and
was elected as the Sponsorship head for the 2nd term. The funding of the festival was limited on the financial
help received from the college. The sponsorship committee, led by me, devised various ingenious marketing
strategies and reached out to many companies. Along with completing sponsorship deals with many firms, my
team and I have composed formal meetings with BMW India and Ducati India and brewed long term deals
with them. An extravagant and one of a kind festival was possible due to the surplus fund owing to the efforts
of the sponsorship team. The success of the fest inspired our juniors to follow our lead and our work laid the
foundation of sponsorship techniques for the upcoming events. On a personal level, it bolstered my belief of
approaching a problem in unique ways and thinking out of the box rather than sticking to the conventional
methods.

4. Briefly describe a situation in which you experienced failure, or a situation in which your beliefs
were challenged. How did you handle the situation, and what did you learn?
