1. For the beam shown, if EI is constant, determine the deflection of beam at C

and D by area moment method. Use P = 56KN, E = 200000MPa and I = 20
x 106 mm4

2. A cantilever beam with a span of 2m carrying a uniform load of 20KN/m

throughout its span. If E = 200000MPa, I = 20 x 106mm4, determine the slope
at free end and deflection at free end. Use conjugate beam method.

3. A simply supported beam shown is 8m long. If E = 200000MPa, I = 150 x106

mm4. By conjugate beam method determine the slope at left support and
deflection at midspan.
