A. Langkah-langkah merubah kalimat aktif ke pasif:

1. Pastikan ada KATA KERJA (VERB)
 V1/s/es, V2, have/has/had + V3, to be + V-ing, Modals + V1
2. Pastikan ada OBJEK
3. OBJEK kalimat aktif berubah menjadi SUBJEK kalimat pasif
4. KATA KERJA (VERB) berubah menjadi to be + V3
 V1/s/es = is/am/are + V3
 V2 = was /were + V3
 Have/has/had + V3 = have/has/had + been
 Modals (can, could, shall, should, must, …) + V1 = Modals + be + V3
 To be + V-ing = to be + being + V3
5. SUBJEK kalimat aktif berubah menjadi PELAKU (by …)
a. My baby is talking to me (keterangan tujuan)  NO PASSIVE
b. My baby is holding toys
 Toys are being held by my baby
c. Vanessa brings a cup of coffee to the library every day (simple present tense)
 A cup of coffee is brought by Vanessa to the library every day
