Business Idea: A taxi service for the ladies who are travelling at late night, so
that they can reach their destination safely.
Revenue Models: 1. Convenience 2. Market Place 3. Non-Monetary 4. Pay-Per-
Use 5. Dynamic pricing.
1. Convenience – An app shall be developed for the ease of users. A request in
the app will connect the passenger with a taxi driver (reliable person from the
neighbourhood).
Example: Zomato delivers food from restaurants to our door steps.
2. Market Place – In my business, the app brings the customer and service
provider together. It helps to satisfy the demand of the customers. The service
provider (taxi driver) is the one gaining most value and gives a commission of
20% to the company.
Example: Upwork is a platform where we can hire freelancers to get our work
completed.
3. non-monetary – The taxi service mentioned in my business model will only
buy a minimal rate from women who are travelling at night, whereas they
charge normal rate to passengers in other times.
Example: The Tamil Nādu Government has declared that women and children
doesn’t have to pay for the ticket charges while travelling in TNSTC.
4.Pay-Per-Use – Each time a passenger is dropped at the destination safely,
then only the charge is taken from them so it is a Pay-per-use revenue model.
Example: The parking lots in malls follow the revenue model where we have to
pay if we park our vehicle in the allotted space by the malls.
5. Dynamic Pricing – In this business, the pricing can be highly flexible in
nature as the regular passengers are charged high at peak hours, moderate
rate at other hours and women who are travelling at night will be only charged
minimal rate.
Example: Uber is a taxi service which uses dynamic pricing revenue as they
charge the customers different rates at different timings.
