Good morning classmate today I am going to discuss to you flexibility

exercises.

Flexibility is a health – related component of physical fitness. It is the range


of motion from a joint. Flexibility is the ability to bend any part of the body
without breaking. Flexibility involves stretching of joints and muscle groups.

To be flexible we need to do warm exercises, here are the examples of warm


exercises.

1. Arms stretching – stretch your arms to the fullest in a gradual manner


according to your capacity.

2. Stride Sitting – spread the legs, start with your armed raised upward and
bend to touch the floor, bend as low as possible.

3. Leg splits – There are two kinds of legs split.


1. Front split – in a setting position, extend your 2 legs sideward as far
as possible hand may be used as support.

2. Side split - in a sitting position; extend your legs 2 legs sideward as


far as possible, twist your body to the sides, hand may be used for
support.

4. Trunk Bending
1. Sideward - in a standing position, bend your trunk to right and
left, bend trunk lower counting 1,2,3,4.
2. Forward – bend knees slightly, extend one arm to pick some or
touch the floor.
