INSTRUCTIONS AND DATE SHEET FOR ONLINE CLASS TESTS

1. On the day of examination, the student should be ready with A4 sized white ruled sheets.
2. On the top of page one of the answer sheet, the following particulars should be written:

a) Name and Roll number of the student

b) Page 1
c) Class and Semester
d) Subject
e) Paper Code
f) Date of the exam
g) “Total no. of pages written-------------”(This blank has to be filled up by the student after completing the test and before uploading the answer sheets)
· On the top of all the other pages of the answer sheets the following particulars should be given:
a) The appropriate page numbers
b) Paper Code

3. Use Black Ink Pen for writing the answers and other details on the answer sheet.
4. Link of the Google Meet will be sent to the students by the concerned Faculty member on google group email ID of the class 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the
test. The Google group Ids of each class are shared in the Date sheet.
5. Students are required to login at the scheduled time of the examination. First 15 minutes will be utilized for submitting the attendance, and after ensuring that every student’s
camera is switched on, the Question Paper will be uploaded by the concerned Faculty.
6. No student will be allowed to login once the Question Paper has been circulated.
7. After the uploading of the question paper, the time available to the students for the test will be 1 hour.
8. The students are required to keep the Microphones in MUTE mode (unless specified otherwise by the supervisor) and Camera in ON mode throughout the examination
process.
9. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure the availability of a good Internet connection.
10. Students are strongly advised to use fully charged Laptops or Desktops instead of Mobile phones so that the possibility of not being viewed by any of the invigilators is ruled
out.
11. Two Invigilators, stationed at different places will pin the thumbnail of the student whose video is not visible and if the student is not visible to even one of the two invigilators,
an announcement will be made regarding the student. Such a student is supposed to re-login within 3 minutes.

Even after re-login, if such a student is not visible to even one of the two Invigilators, the student will be warned and will be given one more chance to re-login within 3
minutes either from the same or different device.
If the student is still not visible to even one of the two invigilators, the student will be removed from Google Meet by the Invigilator and the student can upload the answer
sheet as per instructions of the concerned Faculty member within 15 minutes, failing which his/her answer sheet will not be considered for evaluation.

12. In case of the connectivity issues, the students will be allowed to reconnect to the Meet within 3 minutes after getting disconnected from the Meet. Students would be allowed
to re-login the Meet a maximum of 3 times during the entire examination process of the session of the day. After that, the student will be removed from the Meet by the
Invigilator and the student can upload the Answer sheet as per instructions of the concerned Faculty member within 15 minutes, failing which his/her answer sheet will not
be considered for evaluation.
13. The Student must write “THE END” on the last sheet of paper after completing the test.
14. Students will be given 15 minutes to upload the answer sheet after the completion of the test and the invigilation shall continue in that period. The students & the invigilators
shall keep their cameras ON till the student uploads his/her answer sheet successfully to the satisfaction of concerned faculty.
15. All the students must keep in their record the hard copy of the answer sheet as well as soft copy with date and time stamp on it. This record should be retained till the
declaration of result. The student may be asked to submit this as evidence in the event of any eventuality.
16. All provisions of Panjab University pertaining to use of unfair means would apply to these examinations/tests.
17. The students may contact the invigilator through email (or phone, if it is shared by the invigilator) during the test in case of extreme hardship related to Internet
connection/video related issues.
18. Faculty members will note that two invigilators have been assigned for each test. This has been done to ensure smooth conduct of the test even in the eventuality of a poor
Internet connection for an individual invigilator. Both invigilators are expected to be on duty for the full duration of the test.
