Peace Negotiator

The land of Wakanda’s landowners keeps their power by maintaining private armies
which have cause a conflict to powerful families to disagree on who should take control of the
resources that they have. The violence, which has caused kidnapping, extortion, and murder
continued for each generation. To end this generation, cycle a Peace Negotiator has been
confronted to negotiate with both dominant families to fight for control over the said situation.
As the initial negotiation has been confirmed, it states that the families are willing to end the
violence if they will be guaranteed a national position of equal power. The negotiator should
choose violence for a short-term recent of time by letting the competing families fight each other
to eliminate corruption in the long run.

Corruption has a transformative impact on peace. Sacrificing peace would possibly

harm the people, but the negotiator should think neutrally as to how the condition would affect
the said matter to the community. Eliminating corruption would be the top priority for the said
situation, as corruption is similar to neglecting peace. The conflict of interest in corruption could
harm the community in the long run, wherein the families who abuse their power or position for
private gain has a huge effect which includes the reduction of foreign direct and domestic
investment, increases of inequality and poverty, the community that experience maltreatment by
looking at their status of living. The more power and authority the people have, the more they
control the people around them. In this case, the human rights of the people weren’t achieved
which causes a lesser chance of having peace and receiving violations such as judicial killing.
Various empirical studies have been conducted to identify the causes of corruption and its
consequences. The main causes of corruption are identified by various factors such as the size of
governments, the political system, and the quality of institutions. Corruption has an impact on
the investment environment. It can also affect the growth of the economy and the rule of law.

An increase in corruption can lead to a decrease in peace, though this can also be
prevented through the proper steps to overcome it. The example would be the police and the

judiciary are the two institutions that have the most influence on levels of peace. High levels of
corruption within these institutions can lead to a breakdown of the legal framework, as well as
formal and informal ethical guidelines, increasing the chance of having crime and violence in a
country. There are many ways to fight corruption first, corruption is not just about bribery; when
resources are wasted, people, particularly the impoverished, suffer. That is why it is critical to
comprehend the various types of corruption to develop effective remedies. Second, build avenues
for citizens to interact and participate in their governments by identifying priorities, challenges,
and answers. Third, increase capacity for those who need it the most. Countries with a long
history of instability, war, and bloodshed frequently have the fewest internal resources to tackle
corruption. Determine how international resources might be used to support and sustain good
governance. Overall, the peace negotiator should negotiate the sacrifice in peace in the short-
term to eliminate corruption in the long-term as it would benefit the people, the government, and
the people who have the power of authority to decide. This shows a substantial implication of
long-term peace if we begin fixing the problem of corruption.
