supply of a city, and reduce the stress on rivers.
Fourth, is to ensure a rich and continuous riparian buffer.
[A riparian buffer is a longitudinal stretch of vegetation on either bank of a river]

Fifth, is to ensure maximum good quality return flow to the river.
