Walk-In Interview for the post of Project Associate - I

Applications are invited from highly motivated and dynamic eligible candidates for project associate -
I position to work in a DST-GoI, funded sponsored research project entitled “Wireless Networking
for Sustainable Rural Connectivity”.

The desirable minimum essential and desirable qualifications for the project posts are as follows:

Job Description The candidate is required to work on software defined radio and must be
proficient in programming with python, working on Linux systems.
Candidates having machine learning expertise will have added advantage.
Eligibility B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics/
Electronics and Communications/IT Engineering or equivalent (with 60%
marks or CGPA of 6.5 and above) from a recognised university
Age limit Must not be more than 32 years as on closing date of application
(relaxation as per the norms/ orders of GOI).
Duration 6 months and extendable based on fund availability and performance
Fellowship Rs. 31,000/-per month + HRA : For GATE/NET qualified
Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA : For those who do not have GATE/NET
Desirable Candidates with a strong background in Python/C/C++ programming
skills and machine learning are encouraged to apply.

Instructions:
1) Appointed candidate will be placed at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar and appointment
will be made purely on temporary basis initially for a period of six months and can be extended up to
completion of the project based on the performance. The contract will also include a one month notice
period wherein if the candidate selected wants to discontinue the project he/she will have to inform
the PI one month in advance and in case PI is not satisfied with the performance of candidate she will
need to inform them one month prior to termination of contract.
2) The salary is determined as per SERB norms and may be revised as and when directed by SERB
3) In case of any unavoidable circumstances the date of interview might be changed, which shall be
notified on our university website www.iitrpr.ac.in or through email.

4) Candidates appearing for interview (through Google Meet) should fill out the Google form and
upload all their certificates, mark-sheets and testimonials.
