Track security advised me that there had been an assault and the victim had been transported to the medical tent. \Victim / Suspect Rel: |The victim, Amanda Whitson and the suspect, Ethan Whitson are brother and sister. Amanda land Ethan do not live together. \Victim's Statement: I made contact with Amanda in the medical tent. Amanda said she did not know why Ethan punched her. \Victim's Demeanor: Amanda was crying and visible upset Victim's Injuries: Amanda's left ear was visible red. Amanda had no other visible injuries. Victim's Medical Attention: \Amanda was treated for her injuries by infield medical personnel. Witness Statement (1): |I made contact with Heidi Zilba at the medical tent. Heidi said she had been walking with [Amanda and her brother Ethan walked up to them and started yelling at Amanda. Heidi said Ethan punched Amanda in the left side of the head. Heidi said she went with Amanda to the ‘medical tent to make sure she was ok. Witness Statement (2): i made contact with Eric Lemley when | was flagged down by track security. Eric said he was lwalking with Amanda when Ethan ran up to them and started yelling at Amanda. Eric said he backed up because he did not want to get in between them. Eric said Ethan punched Amanda in ithe said of the head and then ran off. \Suspect Statement: | attempted to make contact with Ethan in his campsite when | was flagged down by security. | lwas unable to speak with Ethan because he was not there. lAfter speaking with the victim | again attempted to make contact with Ethan at his camp site, lagain he was not there. After | cleared the scene | was advised by dispatch Heidi had called in land advised Ethan was back at the camp site. Upon arrival | was unable to make contact with Ethan because he had ran off when | arrived, IThe next day | attempted to make contact with Ethan at his camp site again. Again he was not Ithere, | left my business card with the campers there instructing them to have Ethan call me. As lof 07/21/2019 at 22:00, | have not been able to interview Ethan.
