STRESS ANALYSIS
The responsibility of the Piping Engineer includes ensuring
the Structural integrity of the pipe, which should serve the
estimated life time without a flaw. Piping system should
have the flexibility to limit the stresses generated in it due
to the weight, pressure, temperature, external loadings etc.,
within the allowable stress value for the material, based on
the governing code. IIPED expertise in Stress analysis ranges
from Power piping, High pressure drilling lines, Offshore
piping, Utility lines, Cross-country pipeline, Non-metallic lines
etc.
PLANT DESIGN
Layout design is enriched with various sophisticated 3D
modelling software available in the market. IIPED with its
expertise in the design field, is capable to deliver the 3D
HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS
Static hydraulic analysis shall be performed for pump sizing,
pressure drop calculation etc. Hydraulic analysis also helps to
study whether the piping system meets its flow requirements,
which is the basis of the design.
Surge analysis shall be performed for the piping system
where the transient events may create peak surge pressure
in the piping system. Failure of piping system may happen if
the peak surge pressure is higher than the design pressure of
the piping system
model based on the Client requirement, for review. Using
these innovative techniques, 2D drawings are extracted and
fine-tuned to prepare the detailed fabrication drawing. Also,
the user is allowed to have a walk-through in the 3D model
which is very useful to improvise the design
STEEL STRUCTURE
Structure frame and pipe supports are to be designed carefully
to accommodate the piping and various equipment in the
Plant. Integrity of the Structure to be confirmed by Structural
Engineer during operating and shut-down conditions. IIPED
provides optimized design without compromising the safety
in any manner. Structural fabrication drawings are to be
prepared based on the analysis results. Moreover thrust block
sizing will also be delivered which is important for buried
utility piping design.
