Jesus Christ: His Life and Teachings - ReEd 2a

TRASCRIPTION OF INTERVIEW

According to Father Carmelo F. Santos III here in Caloocan City. He stated,

Church believes that the economy must have job opportunities and equal pay for any

person who is eager and able to work. “Work is more than a means of subsistence; it

is a kind of ongoing involvement in God's creation.” To maintain the integrity of

labor, workers' human rights must be upheld, including the right to meaningful

employment, equal and equal pay, the freedom to organize and form unions, private

property, and economic initiative.”

However, the disadvantaged and marginalized of our society are often left

without suitable work prospects. Since our religion teaches us that "the human being

is the beginning, the focus, and the purpose of all social structures is and must be the

human being," we must fight to create equal opportunity for all. All people have the

right to jobs, to the opportunity to improve their qualities and personalities through

the exercise of their careers, and to equal remuneration that will allow them and their

families "to lead a worthy life on the financial, social, cultural, and spiritual levels, as

well as to assistance in case of need arising from illness or age."

There are various of labor issues such as Post-employment, Youth

unemployment, job and educated unemployed, Underemployment, labor productivity

and to name the few. I'd like to remind all, particularly governments, that the primary

capital to be safeguarded and cherished is individual, the individual being in his or her

honesty. We can solve this problem if we, all of us helps together to fight for this

kind of issue.
