Part 1 [LO1, LO2]

LO1: - Establish project aims, objectives and timeframes based on the chosen theme.

LO2: - Conduct small-scale research, information gathering and Data collection to generate
knowledge to support the project.

Introduction to scenario
As, I am a young enthusiastic trainee working on one of leading software consultancy. I am totally
new to AI and want to explore more about AI. As part of my role in the company I am assigned to
carry out small-scale research in order to recognize and discover a range of possibilities so that, I
could implement AI elements in existing system. AI is intelligence demonstrated by machines, in
contrast to the natural intelligence displayed by humans. The Artificial Intelligence systems are
sufficiently proficient to decrease human efforts in different areas. But these answers don’t satisfy
my wisdom and makes me think more about it. Actually, AI (Artificially Intelligence) is a term
describing the automation of work in a natural flow where there is no presence of human beings to
simplify the complex task using the computational power.

Objectives of implementing AI

• Task gets automated.

• Output is gained faster than human processing.
• Errors could be handled easily and avoided.
• User friendly responses could be obtained automatically.
• Future prediction analyzing data could be faster.

There are lots other objectives of implementing AI and as we had already done market research
which shows that many business owners are not aware of Artificial Intelligence to be included in
their business and, including AI elements in their existing system would lead to a quick automation
of their existing products. Embedding of AI elements leads to quick automation, helping to
preventing error occurrence. Additionally, leads to enhance the system with future predictions. With
reference to the earlier research, in this task of mine I am going to establish project aims, objectives,
timeframes based on my scenario and conduct small-scale research to gather information and data to
which would support my project.

Project aims and objectives

Project without aim is like ship without rudder. The main aim of our project is to understand the AI
elements and find a way to implement it in existing system. We should know about the AI elements
before we could implement it in our system so that when we implement we could be sure about the
outcomes of the investment. We set our objectives to know about the AI elements through various
methods like reading thesis paper, having field visit to places where AI elements are used and
investigate about it, studying research papers and many other activities to gather idea about AI
elements. Enquires with persons working on AI elements would help more than reading the papers so
our high priority would be given to field visit.

Project management plane

Managing a project is not an easy task it requires precise planning and timing. A better project plan
helps me to achieve the objective of the project in a better way. The term project management plan is
defined as the process of how the management will execute, monitor and control the project
(Bagulery, 2008). In other word, a project management plan is formal and established ways to
manage a project. This document is necessary to define, integrate, prepare and coordinate various
planning activities. It also mainly defines how the project is monitored, reviewed, executed,
controlled and closed. A good project management plan includes the following elements: -

• Time
• Cost
• Scope
• Quality
• Literature Review
• Communication
• Risk and resources

A Project management plan is the main tool that shows the path to accomplish the task of the project.
So, I have to develop a Project management plan to accomplish my project successful. The phases of
Project management plan for implementing elements of AI on software consultancy is explained
below.

Setting time frame

AI itself is vast topic and conducting research about it would take lot of time but as we are assigned
to conduct a small-scale research, I should be precise about time and utilize it properly. There are

lots of task to be done but the main aim is to know in detail about elements of AI. I should have
proper planning about the research so that I won’t take lot of time doing something which worth less.
Most of the offices remains close on Saturday and it also takes time to analyze the research so
skipping Saturday and Sunday I would be working 5 days in week and which would give me 39
working days so that I could complete my research. Several days would be covered by Saturdays and
Sundays so 52 overall days would be my timeline so, I could complete my task before my deadline
and could face the consequences which could arise in future. The figure 1 below shows timeline for
my research.

As part of research I would be spending 52 days. Within that time, I have to meet the respective
people to gain the data as required which would consume most time than other task. All the
companies that I have chosen are quite far which might affect my timeframe. The table below shows
the list of companies which I would be visiting to gather information.

The table above shows the time and days that I have allocated for each company. I had conversations
with lots of peoples and conducted the research. I had allocated 19 days including revisit for 13
companies so that research could be accomplished successfully.

Analyzing cost and budget

Time counts more than money but if we can invest time properly money follows your path
everywhere. Similarly managing cost and time plays vital role in project management. Traveling,
eating, stationary, phone calls and other stuffs requires money and while achieving the project. I am
given with fifteen thousand amounts to spend as I am conducting the primary data collection which
often requires a fund as well as time. The table below shows the expenses and total cost while
conducting this research.

Budget of the project varies according the project type. As, I am going to do small scale research so
it requires less amount of budget. I have to estimate the budget before starting the project so that the
cost feasibility could be maintained. According to my calculation Rs.15,000 would be suitable as I
would be conducting the project for approximately 52 days. The budget may exceed because of the
travel & telephone bills as I have made many contingencies plan for meeting the respective person
like company owners to discuss about the problems and stakeholder like staff of the company so that
we could get the desired output.

Scope
Scope means the actions that is required to be done to attain the objectives in the project. Project
scope is the part of project planning that involves determining and documenting a list of specific
project goals, deliverables, features, functions, tasks, deadlines, and ultimately costs. (Sarah, 2018)
In this case, scope defines meeting the AI related persons, researching and reading papers, designing
the questionnaire, managing the cost and many more but the main scope of this project are as
follows: -

Project quality
The quality of project means the quality assurance. According to the American Society for Quality
(ASQ), quality assurance is "the planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system
so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled." It is the management and
regulation of the products and services the project delivers to make sure they are at the required
quality level. This process is extremely important in order to maintain not only the quality of
products and services, but also consistency. Project quality is the main fact that the manager has
to consider because if I can't maintain the quality of the project then the accomplishment of the
project gets in trouble. So, as an AI Specialist for a leading software consultancy. I will consider
the time limitation, resources, and make best decision for the company.

Literature Review
Literature review is main part of project management where we broaden our ideas about the research
topic. I was not familiar about the AI and its elements and before I could ask someone about it I had
to gain some knowledge about it as well so I spend 5 days reading different papers and researching
about AI and its elements so that I could have basic knowledge about AI. Papers written by different
professors helped me to make a mindset about the elements of AI. As part of research the I had to
know more about the implementation so the literature review helped me a lot but having a view of
practical implementation would help me more so after literature review we made field visits in
different sector where AI elements were implemented.

Communication
Communication is the most essential part of a project. AI Specialist has to maintain the regular
communication with the related parties of the project and set a strategy to communicate with the
stakeholders of the company. Those who are related to the project and can affect the accomplishment
of the project and should be taken in consideration. As there must be good communication
channel to complete the project. Communication between stakeholders, AI specialist and
owners of company has to be effective. The communication may be face to face or in digital
ways such as e- mail, phone or chatting. Here, digital communication is necessary as it helps to
provide information faster than other methods. I have used every means of communication

while doing project but I found digital communication more preferable because it doesn’t take
much times as formal communication.

Risk and resources

Any business project has some risks and resources. The risks of the project are limitation of enough
time, money, volunteers, and critical situations of the national politics. And the resources of the
project are skilled manpower, experience of the AI Specialist, enough investment and the positive
attitudes of the management of the company. So, as an AI Specialist for a leading software
consultancy, I can assure that the project will be accomplished within the time because the project
has enough resources than the risks at hand.

Work breakdown structure

A project management plan has five stages of task. I have taken an initiative to breakdown the whole
work. According to the project plan, the five stages of work will be accomplished within the time
specified. If the assigned tasks can be accomplished within the time then the project will be a
successful one for the company. So, the project tasks breakdown has been given in the
following: -

The above given picture shows the work breakdown structure of my project. It is small scale research
where I have spitted all the task into smaller parts. Explain according to table above.

GANTT chart
Gantt Chart is the tool which helps to create project plane. Using GANTT chart helps to predefine
the steps which we would be taking on our project. As the timeline explained in figure 1 the GANTT
chart also does the same. It helps project manager and develop a suitable time table, plan the project,
assign resource to tasks, also helps to track the progress of the project, manage the budget and
analyze the work load.

The above picture shows the Gantt chart for the project which helped me to manage and plan the
project and using. I have estimated 52 days for the whole project where I have taken 1 day to
initialize the project, 3 days to plan, 5 days to read papers, 13 days for first field visit and 3 day for
analyzing the effectiveness of meeting and manage further meeting. After the completion of this task
my 2 milestones are completed and to achieve final milestone I have to have second filed visit
followed by analyzing, processing data’s and preparing the final report. Doing so my project would
be accomplished easily.

Research Methodologies
The objective of the project is to find out how AI elements could be implemented in existing system.
So, as an AI Specialist for a leading software consultancy, I will find out the possible and the best
method of research to find and analyze how AI elements could be implemented in existing system.
As a part of the project, I have decided to use the quantitative and qualitative method of research.

Qualitative research
Qualitative research is defined as a market research method that focuses on obtaining data through
open-ended and conversational communication. This method is not only about “what” people think
but also “why” they think so. The qualitative research method allows for in-depth and further
probing and questioning of respondents based on their responses, where the interviewer/researcher
also tries to understand their motivation and feelings.

It is used to gain an understanding of underlying reasons, opinions, and motivations. It provides

insights into the problem or helps to develops ideas or hypotheses for potential quantitative research.
Qualitative research is also used to uncover trends in thought and opinions, and dive deeper into the
problem. Qualitative data collection methods vary using unstructured or semi-structured techniques.
Some common methods include focus groups, individuals’ interviews, and participation or
observation. Some of the ways to do qualitative research are given below: -

1. Observation:
One of the researches methods I have used is observation. Visiting the places and taking the
information helped me to observe the about the companies. In this people are more focused
on the project and make notes about every small term that is related to the project.
For the completion of my project. I have observed all the changes in the state of the company
before implementing AI elements and after implementing it. I have collected some
information about the AI elements in the system that is used by the company and make a note
on the common points, state of AI etc. Some of the information I collect from observing
different companies are:
• Use of bio matrix system to recognize and greet the respective person was one of the
visible things in the companies.
• Lack of RND (Research and development) department in some of the companies.
2. Interview:

Interview made it is easier to get into the depth of the AI elements. It is completely
conversational methods so it was easier to get the information about AI elements. Its great
advantage is I can get more information about their experience in less time.
Some point I have made through the interview with the company manager are: -

o What is the condition of company?

o What is the performance of the company after the implementation of AI elements on the
system?
o What are the outcomes of implementing AI elements in company?
o Since when AI elements was implemented in company?

They have given some details and the issues they are having while implementing AI elements.

o Since AI is new in market the companies are having problems to follow western
approach.

o AI itself is vast topic for companies due to which there are few companies with proper AI
elements.
o Sometimes the AI elements makes system expensive and many companies can’t afford it
as well.
o Highly skilled manpower is required to implement AI elements.
3. Record analyzing:
This research is secondary research done to find out the quality of the project. For
record analysis I have read through different books, articles and newspapers and
from their written statement I have concluded some of the similar terms like
machine learning, neural network etc. Moreover, I also researched on whether the
same kind of elements have been used in different companies and do other
companies know more about how can we advance the existing system using AI.
Form history research I have makes note and set some questions to ask the AI
related and non-related people:
A. Do you think AI elements are reliable?
B. Will AI be the future of computer industry?
C. Will the research be beneficial?
D. Should we continue to do such research?

Quantitative research
Quantitative research is used to quantify the problem by way of generating numerical data or data
that can be transformed into usable statistics. Quantitative data collection methods are much more
structured than qualitative data collection methods. Quantitative research uses measurables data to
formulate facts and uncover patterns in research. Quantitative data collection methods included
various forms of surveys- online surveys, paper surveys, mobile surveys, and face-to-face interviews,
telephone interviews, online polls and others.

There are many options to choose between the instrument to conduct the research program like
questionnaire, interview, observations, etc. I have limited time to conduct the research program so
that I have used questionnaire as a research instrument which was handy and less-time consuming
and all the respondent co-operates with the questionnaire because it is easy to fill as all the questions
are objective.

Quantitative research, in marketing, is a stimulating and highly educational technique to gather

information from existing and potential customers using sampling methods and sending out online
surveys, online polls, questionnaires etc., the results of which can be analyzed using statistical
methods.

Methods used in quantitative methods:

Online polls:

For my project I have made Online polls through social media and emails. I have collected the
data from questionnaire done from mails and made polls.

Surveys:

For the survey I have visited many companies and arrange seminars with the number of people who
are facing problems along with company member and raise a question in public. By arising the same
question with different people in different place. By analyzing the common data, I have made further
move in my project. The collected data are logical and they can be shown in a statistical way.

Questionnaire:

A Questionnaire is a structured form, either written or printed, consists of a formalized set of

questions designed to collect information on some subject or subjects from one or more respondents.
It is a data collection technique that a number of questions are raised through huge number of people
and the solution is made on the base of those result.

During my project I have used the questionnaire as a research instrument because it represents both
qualitative as well as quantitative method and for the primary research. I have asked 5 to 10 minutes
for all representatives to fill the questionnaire as the questionnaire was short and sweet. Many

thought it will waste their time but it took just 5 minutes to fill it and they felt easy as I have made
questions with structured format in a sequence order. Questionnaire helped me to collect the real data
and complete the project.

Advantage of using questionnaire:

• It was feasible to do research because of the economic condition.

• Analyzing the research was comparatively easy.
• Less time consuming.
• It is reliable and valid method of research.
• It can be analyzed scientifically and objectively than other methods of data collection.

Recommendation:

• All the questions need to be in order so that respondent can easily understand the all
questions.
• Related topic needs to be grouped.
• Options should be valid and all the possible answers should be in option.

I have made some sample question that are used to collect the information. In this sample
questionnaire I have point out some question that can be asked to an individual, to the company
member and publicly and provide a review.

I have made questionnaire by providing same set of question for multiple employee which and I have
collects different data which can be concluded in the form of numbers that the number of people
agree and number of people disagree for the same question.

Evaluation of project management process

Small scale research which I have completed and while conducting the research I have used
questionnaire as a research tool to get data and the project was related about implementing AI
elements in existing system. Questionnaire was made and it was approved by the module leader. I
have visited all 13 different company and met all the IT managers of the company individually. All
the record is kept in my logbook and I have used the project management process to conduct the
small-scale research.

Advantages

o Improvement can be done in the research project and in the result.

o Resources of the project can be priorities and can be efficiently used.
o It sets the scope, schedule and budget accurately.
o Project management helps in managing all the resource, cost, and budget.
o Productivity and quality of work can be improved.

Disadvantages

o Time consuming in context of visiting the offices and preparing the questionnaire along with
the analyzing and finalizing the project.
o Complexity because of the many stages.
o Risk was occurred although it was pre planned.

Limitations

Limitation can be seen the major factor such as time, cost and place. In some context, while
conducting the research I have faced my problems like the IT manager had fixed the meeting but had
left for another purpose and I have to wait him for so long. In some case because of the launch break
which was not fixed so that I had to wait them so long. Some of the place where I was stuck at the
traffic so I missed the meeting and had to go another day. Any project has some limitation which
comes automatically in the spot and can’t be mitigated.

Accuracy and reliability of different research methods

Performing research is not an easy task it takes time, patience, and lots of effort as well. After the
research is complete the output obtained must be reliable so that it would help in future as well. To
have a reliable research the data taken also should be reliable. I have used both qualitative method

and quantitative method as well which makes this research reliable and accurate for the future
reference.

Scenario selection for AI implementation

Collecting the information helped to define the specific topic where the AI elements could be
implemented to increase efficiency. I have selected the theme which has an objective to serve and
clean country by implementing digital dustbin. In these themes the existing system would be
dustbins present in our locality but the AI implementation is necessary in this scenario as well. If AI
elements could be adjusted in these existing dustbins then the information about the filled dustbins
would be sent to respective government body and the garbage could be disposed properly keeping
society clean.

Recommendations
Though the research was not perfectly done some of the problems were seen which could be done
better if someone does its next time. While having field visit we were not aware about the
appointment so sometimes we had to search other company and make contact through emails. We
were not sure about locations and had to travel here and there but if we had looked map and navigate
it using maps it would have been easier.

Conclusion
In this task I have set my aims and objectives and have implemented it with help of project
management plan and different tools and techniques. I have prepared the timeframe, GANTT chart,
work breakdown structure and many more. Furthermore, I have used the different methods for the
research which has made the output reliable and accurate as well. Overall, I had lots of fun and learnt
lots of new things about AI doing this research and also collected lots of data which would help in
implementing the elements of AI dustbin as well.

Part 2 [LO3, LO4]

LO3: Present the project and communicate appropriate recommendations based on
meaningful conclusions drawn from the evidence findings and/or analysis.

LO4: Reflect on the value gained from conducting the project and its usefulness to support
sustainable organizational performance.

Introduction to scenario
We have visited different companies and collected data now the processing and analyzing of data is
left. Collecting the information was not an easy task it required lots of patience and effort. In this
task of mine I am going to analyze the data so that the AI elements could be implemented in my
company.

Findings and Analysis

In this project, data was collected from different types of company and all the data were collected
using the questionnaire, interviews and surveys. The data are now analyzed using the different tool
and the result is shown as the bar graphs which helps to illustrate the numbers explored.

Appropriate tools and techniques used in research

Small scale research is less costly but provides great benefits to the organization. The data collection
process and analysis process require different tools and techniques. I have used different tools to
collect and analysis data and the list of tools are as follows: -

1. Software tools
Completing the research without software tools was difficult and quite impossible because in
this digital age all the information is not possible to store on papers. There were recording
made and moreover, Microsoft’s office package helped a lot among which MS excel and MS
project were mostly used.
MS Excel: The bar graph was made using the MS Excel along with the analysis. It is the
spreadsheet program officially launched by the Microsoft company. It is one of the helpful
tools in the many field and this helped in competing the project by recording the data and
made possible to analyze the data and also helped to make the bar graph. I used it for
different purpose like to keep the record of expenditures and plan the budget, chart data, etc.
MS Project: Managing the time schedule is so hard doing in the paper but I did in the Gantt
chart using the project tool provided by the Microsoft office. Gantt chart helped me to
schedule my time table and manage whole project.

2. Electronic devices
Software wouldn’t be available if the hardware didn’t exist so all the electronic devices like
mobile, telephone, laptop etc. helped me a lot to collect the information and store them
properly for the analysis.
3. Communication and transportation
I had to visit different companies to inquire about the AI and its elements so communication
and transportation played vital role in the research. I had to make calls with different
companies and also fix meeting where the communication skill of mine was improved and
enhanced and having field visit also entertained me and remove my burden as I was
completing my research.

Evaluation of tools and techniques

After the successful completion of the project I have drawn the possible outcome of the project by
collecting the data and then analyzing them. I have used project management plan to conduct the
research project. while conducting the project there are lots of advantages and limitation. I have
visited 13 different companies which was time consuming and collected filled questionnaire from all
the companies. Although this was the small-scale research it took me 52 days including Saturdays
and Sundays to complete everything by myself.

The research was done to find out the how AI elements could be implemented in existing system for
increasing efficiency. All the task was performed according to the scheduled but sometimes was
delayed by the traffic and sometimes the managers was in lunch break so had to wait. However, the
project was completed successfully. Some of the plan need to be upgraded in the near future so that
researcher can get benefits are as follows:

• Use of online survey could make data collection easier and result could be analyzed easily.
• Visiting the company should have an alternative.
• Research should be done in group so that project could be done in short period of time.

Data source and respondents

Data was collected mostly from the interviews, questioners and surveys do the some of the
information collected form different respondents are as follows: -

Respondent 1:

I have asked to the engineer Anil lal Amataya, one of the AI specialists in Leapfrog technology about
the possibility of implementing the digital dustbin in our country. Where he stated that if we have
proper planning and enthusiastic youths to make anything possible then there is huge scope of digital
dustbin. His explanation about concept was remarkable and also showed the positive side in the
implementation of AI elements in existing system like digital dustbin.

Respondent 2:

I have collected data from respondent 2 who was my neighbor who was teacher in profession.
Firstly, I explained him the concept of digital dustbin and have asked him about the concept of
digital dustbin and implementation. He shares me one of his incidents where the daughter fo his
friend suffered from dengue due to lack of disposal of garbage in time. He also stated that if this
concept had already been implemented then no diseases which is caused by garbage would have
aroused.

Respondent 3:

As a researcher when I asked for respondent 3 about our research, where he explained the lack of
budget in country to implement such advanced project. According to him if this concept even
initiates as testing in cities then the day would come sooner when our country would also be listed as
cleanest country in the world.

Responded 4:

From the responded 4 it is clearly found that the digital dustbin should be implemented as soon as
possible.

Limitations and recommendations

• Boundary budget:

For every work budget should be fixed. Budget are used in the project for the works like
marketing, hiring talent for the work and soon. The budget that is set for my project
implementing AI elements in existing system is quite less than the required. So that in the
future to make the project the budget should be maximum. If the budget is maximum then the
project can be done wisely and easily. We can hire the number of talented people which help

to complete the project in a time. The most required things for completing any project in time
is money or budget. So, I recommend to fixed the maximum amount for the any project.

• Limited time:

Time is the most valuable things whenever or whatever we are doing. Limited time brings
more work and more stress and problem which leads to the limited outcomes and result. If we
have enough time then we can get better and fruitful result. So, time should be enough. In my
project due to the limited time frame the result I have produced is somehow less or not
fruitful. If I have enough time, I can make more research and provide more meaningful result.
So, I recommend to make the time frame big for the project so that the member working on
the project can get enough time on the project and make research to provide the exact
outcomes or solution of the problems in the project.

• Lack of resource:

In this resource means the things we need in the time of the project. Some of the valuable
things we required in the time of any project are research technique, researcher, research
place and what we are researching. To make the project complete in the time researcher
should be known about what he is researching, what technique he is using so, the lack of
resources is also a major problem in the time of my project. If I have enough research
resource then the result will be more fruitful. For the research we can use modern technology
for testing, and implementation of the project. More on, well-educated and talented team
member can provide the better result and the facilities of working environment and work-
related things like computer, books, place help to make the project better. So, I recommend to
provide the enough resources for the project development to get the better result.

By the help of collected data I have analyzed and created graphs and charts which shows the
differences in satisfaction, reliability, speed and other factors as well. I Have presented
mathematical data in from of graph so that everyone could understand it properly. The research I
have conducted is qualitative research data are analyzed and they are present in the form of graph or
in statistical way. This research methods takes much time but have the logical and statistical
importance.

Things to change:

Identifying the own weakness working on the project to AI elements in existing system was some
things that I have done below my range. So, I have to change those things in the future project.
Making corporate connections gives the opportunity to connect and learn from the project leaders
who are working in similar field. This would help to develop further knowledge about the
technological and also focus on using innovative approaches that helps to make the designing of the
system more effective. Also, for more knowledge I have to participate in the live program and clear
up my doubts. Further, I have to learn more books and make researches to handle the project in
easier way. I have understood that a strong relation should made complete the project so that
universal relation should could be made for the business purpose later.

Working for the team project to AI in existing system and company I have been through lots of
difficulties, some fun and many expensive experiences. I had to travel from one place to another for
collecting research data through surveys, interviews and many more observations. To obtain better
result hard work was necessary adding more stress and tension in the personal life. Moreover, project
head has to face many problems to convey the message and same problem was faced by me as well. I
have to pass the project lead and progress to the senior but every time their un-satisfaction brings
stress in the work. But somehow, I managed to complete the project in time.

Supposition:

While completing research and completing project I have learnt many things like handling the
emotion, working with the team member is far better than the individual working and many more. I
have researched for the project, to implement AI elements in existing system and purpose the plan of
digital dustbin to implement for the better result in environmental uplift. I have been through lots of
developmental phases while completing the research where I contacted different person for data,
travelled different places and analyzed the data and many more which increased lots of my skills as
well.

Achievement from the project

During the whole project, I was gaining some new things daily like managing the time, meeting the
new people and gaining knowledge from them, time management is the key factor for the project
because if I had missed the time then I would have failed the project. I have visited 13 different
companies and met IT Manager, AI specialist of those company and learnt somehow of the real
world. Textbooks are not enough for the students that I have leant during the project because leaning
just text book can be memorized and can’t be useful and research made me to do things myself
which I have leaned on the spot and got to know how the real world works. Some of the good
member of the company implementation of AI in existing system and how all the company are
implementing it in their company. Many IT managers of the different company shared me their
experiences and how the company works and how the problems are solved. This is the era of
changing the technology and we should to be up-to-date in daily life. The knowledge of such
experience sharing helps a lot in our future when we have to face the real problems and tackle them
immediately.

The main knowledge that I got from this project was I have to work hard in this era to prove myself
and it was really tough for me travelling more than 40 km per day and doing research every day. I
had lots of challenges and difficulties to manage time for it. But I did it well and my confidence has
gone high because of interacting with such cool persons and I also learned so much from them. Now
I can say that only memorizing the text book is not enough in this century and this is time to do
something that can be helpful and benefit for all.

Evaluation of project management process to meet stated objective

Researches become successful when it gets properly aligned with the pre-set objectives. This project
has been effectively aligned with its goals. The primary concern of the project is to implement AI

elements in existing system. The outcome from this project shows the increase demand of AI
because of the digital transformation. I’ve collected precious knowledge and experiences during this
project and it will allow me to manage a project successfully in future. I have effectively set research
methodologies and interpreted and analyzed the gathered data through survey. This research also
improved my resource management capability.

I have studied different methods and theories to complete this project. These theories and methods
have developed my skill and knowledge and this knowledge will help me in future. There was a
limited time schedule to conduct this research and there was no scope of additional time. So, I had to
manage the limited time sequentially for every task. This has increased my skill in time management
capacity indeed. Implementing AI elements eases the daily life and reduces the heavy work load.

Evaluation of project outcomes

After the successful completion of the project I have drawn the possible outcome of the project by
collecting the data and then analyzing them. I have used project management plan to conduct the
research project. While conducting the project there are lots of advantages and limitation. I have
visited 13 different companies which was time consuming job and filled questionnaire from all the
companies. Although this was the small-scale research it took me 52 days to complete everything by
myself. The research was done to find out the techniques as well as to implement AI elements in
existing system. All the task was performed according to the scheduled time but sometimes was
delayed in meeting because of the traffic and sometimes the managers had left for the launch break
so, I had to wait for long time. However, the project was completed successfully.

Justification of overall project

Hard work is the key to success, if we didn’t work hard than we couldn’t complete this project. To
complete this project, I had created project plan and followed each and every steps of plan to
accomplish the project. Working of project has widen my wisdom to the next level though I had to
work hard the effort was worth as per output. Visiting 13 different companies and having
interviewed, questionnaire and surveyed different peoples gave new ideas each and every time. Steps
of project even taught to create questionnaire, project plan, and many other small components which
played vital role in the project. Overall the project has benefitted me and the company as well and
would be happy to conduct the next research as well.

Recommendation
In previous part we have seen that a small-scale research has been conducted. To do so we also seen
that a questionnaire had been developed and survey was conducted. After conducting the survey, the
response had been collected and analyzed. The research was all about implementing AI elements in
existing system. After analyzing the data, I can say that implementing the project will be feasible as
the government is also willing for a smart city. We all know the social media named YouTube that is
very popular. As it is a video sharing site than it can be used to catch attention to potential human
resources to implement thought the nation. I also would like to give some recommendation for the
implementation of this project:

• Digital dustbin means to install dustbin with AI elements embedded. As these is a new to
public it needs to explained properly. Over time people will be adapting this concept as well.

• Technology may cause some uncertainty and risk as well. There could be some error in
installment and the government staffs might not properly used to this. Hence, there could
uncertainty arise on using that. For that, the training session could be given to uplift the
concept about it and how to manage it.

• As earlier stated that if IT department is not skilled then it could create some problems. On
digitalization the role of IT department is huge as it supports the other functions of the digital
dustbin. Hence, it requires an efficient IT department.

• Public should also be well aware about the concept and also to support government for this
concept.

Conclusion
To conclude, visiting the different company during the research program, doing all the work by own
like making questionnaire, data collection, analysis, logbook maintaining gave me an interesting part
of the life and learns many more things. The research was about implementing AI elements in
existing system. The questionnaire and the logbook were filled according to the visit of the company.
I have visited different types of company gained variation of data to achieve the best result. I have
visited companies like Verisk, Leapfrog Technology, Artificial Info, tech companies, college, and
many more. Going through the assignment I made my projects aims and objectives where I have
used tools like Gantt chart to manage my time schedule and project tool to further work breakdown. I
have used excel as an analysis tool and analyzed the data to make bar graph to depict the analysis of

the data gained from the research. Furthermore, I have set the milestone of the project and used
project management tool and evaluated the research methodologies like questionnaire including the
advantage of the tool and provided recommendation. In the same way, I have discussed about the
knowledge that I gained from the project.
