Hey Mayuki, this is a quick and simple tutorial on recording with your SONY MV1.

So firstable you need to record on the highest quality as possible, in your case probably
HD1080p 30FPs and the sound AAC. Then setup the audio on a distance to make the sound goes
around -24db and 05 db on the two L R mics that you find in your camera. So try to keep the
highest level of your playing bellow -5db.

So what I recommend you is to try out the loudest part of the piece, record some secs
then check it on the video the sound level. If it’s ok just put the camera on the same position. Try
different angles, and don’t worry about restarting the video to change the takes. Just enumerate
then for me before playing and let the camera record. About the angles: Here you have some
examples that a Action Cam for musicians would work well:

‘Angle 1’ This angle is nice and can catch you from the other side really well, but be careful with
the sound on this one, you will have to check during it.

‘Angle 2’ This one is nice but doesn’t catch your face lol.

‘Angle 3’ This one is nice, but I recommend you to open the up piano because of the harmonics.
Therefore, config your camera to make it low gain, I mean to keep the audio levels between -24
db and -5db.

I would take the Angles 3 and 1, you can record all the video on the both, and then I can mount
the video, it will be better.

Ok, let’s talk about the audio playback:

So firstable you will have 4 bars of 4/4 before the drums begin, so the is time for you to sit
down the piano. Don’t worry about repeating, just let the camera recording and try some takes, I
can cut it.

Also, make sure to put the playback on headphones, it can come from any media source,
cellphone or anything is fine. So don’t put the sound outside the headphones, only you can listen
to it.

Thats all I think!

Thank you so much ;))))))
