    In 2019, the Department of Tourism (DOT) through Department Order No.

    2019-
    101 adopted the Transforming Communities towards Resilient, Inclusive and
    Sustainable Tourism or TouRIST Program to support the infrastructure
    development, disaster and risk management, and livelihood programs of selected
    tourist destinations in close coordination with concerned Local Government Units
    (LGUs).

    The general objective of the TouRIST Program is to develop resilient, inclusive, and
    sustainable tourism destinations through the establishment of an appropriate
    mechanism and implementation of requisite support projects, thereby ensuring
    destination competitiveness and sustainability.

    TIEZA is in full support of the TouRIST Program of the Department of Tourism.

    TIEZA believes that our project here in Coron through the STDP can be a Success
    Story, highlighting the combined efforts of the national and local governments
    during the down time of Pandemic.
