Love and its different meanings

Love is war. Love is kind. Love is patience. Love is blind.

There were indeed a lot of views that define the word love. Many people have different
concepts about love. Some have a bitter yet deep meaning for it, and some took it lightly. Some
define it as tenderness and liking, and some theories were made that love is terrible and it can
cause an excruciating heartbreak, but what is the definite meaning of love? What does it feel to
fall in love and to be loved?

Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. A great interest and pleasure in something. Love is
derived from the Old English word "lufu." This is akin to Old High German, "luba," and another
Old English word, lēof, which means 'dear'. A deep and tender feeling of affection for or
attachment or devotion to a person or persons. Love can also be defined as fondness, warmth,
intimacy, and lust. A Heart is a core symbol of romantic love, affectionate emotion, and care.
The desire that someone feels inside them can also be defined as love. The desire for a soft
served Ice cream. The desire to be a Lawyer, a teacher, or an engineer. The desire to achieve
something in life is a concept of love.

A lot of people often mistake Love for being cheesy. They define love as only seen in movies.
Repeatedly read in fictional books. That it’s a cause of rebellion or revenge. They also define
Love as a sinful feeling and utterly useless. Some of them even judge others for whom or what
they Love. As years went by, The Love that should be blooming like a flower in a thousand years
is slowly withering away. Many wars were executed, Many people were slain, betrayed, and
even tortured to death. A lot of people were against Love, The love for peace and Happiness.

Numerous children were being taught to be someone they would be in the future. Their
parents expect them to be successful Doctors or Pilots when in fact they just want to be an
artist or a dancer. Some young adults were also forced to marry someone they don’t love.
Slowly, They were kept from being attached to something they are passionate about. Having to
force someone to do the things they aren’t likened to will cause them to have a sorrowful life.

Citizens from generation to generation should realize that love cannot be controlled, it cannot
be chosen or declared in words just for them to tell that they love something. They should
accept the fact that every one of them is not a robot. All of them should be given the freedom
to love. Love doesn't require a limit or time. If it happens, it happens. There may be times that a
person may feel lonely and empty, but always remember that love is happiness, finding
someone or something to love can make a person feel a lump on his throat, the butterflies, and
a very heart whelming emotion. As George Sand said, “There is only one happiness in this life, Is
to love and be loved.”
