Rebirth

Colder clouded climes and the winds brute rule

shoulders brushed past incoherent faces,

neutral anger, busts wet.

Bricks under, brazen hurriedly.

Heavy feet and dull thuds.

Dust thick and choked.

Killed maimed, left for dead.

Shades of grey invaded.

Cold mutant rails curbed.

Scribbled shops, vague, all flashes.

Nauseating symmetry.

Doors of glass mirrored beasts,

Slid did they to the side.

Dull ivory. Was it?

Tender lips and a smile. Was it?

Doned of white coat, implore to pour.

Poured did I of the piercing nails on concrete.

Of soft wood cowering beneath.

Of the ways of world that puzzled.

Of past that haunted.

Of thoughts put to rest.

Poured did I or did I?

Muttered “I could see now”

Cool white wrapped sun.

Brushed did they, the order of chaos.

Neutral were they, fond of peace.

Bricks under, loved did they,

With golden dust, refracted.

Thuds dull, of rhythmic case.

Killed, maimed to be born again!

Grey invaded but to clear contours.

Rails chaste, to keep safe.

Scribbled shops played of colurs.

Flashes, symmetry fascinating.

Reborn am I now

A bill in polished nails.
