Deadly Life- Saviour

The series of Dengvaxia incidents that happened within the school vicinity has
reached an alarming level as it post serious threats on students’ health and safety.

For the past years, the school and the Department of Health has been
bombarded with complaints from parents reporting the bad effects of the Dengvaxia.
The nationwide dengue immunization programs aimed to protect the children from
dengue have put their lives at risk. Since lives of students are put to high risk and
harmful effect of this vaccine, the rampancy of this controversy should be given full
critical attention.

This is between life and death.

There is bluntly a concern about students being listless and felt the different kind
of pain like head ache and nose bleeding. How alarming it could be when a children cry
over the pain caused by Dengvaxia? What is more disgusting for parents to see their
child suffering from those pains?

In as much as the administration maximizes ways to lessen and avoid the

dengue victims, the dengue immunization program still make harmful effects to the
children.

Who should be blamed? To whom should we point the accusation? If both the
current and the previous administrations pointing fingers at each other?

Yes, this program only aimed to give protection but then it only resulted to a big
controversy as it increase the risk for the children. The bad thing is that, case of
Dengvaxia demanded billions in pesos as a refund in the vaccines but then it only failed.

Many children who received the vaccine have died and the doctors say only 3 out
of 29 could be possibly linked to Dengvaxia but it is not conclusive, what is need to be
done is to have more test to prove it right.
 The concern here is if the vaccine is given to a child who had dengue before, it
said, the vaccine would even increase the risk of contracting a more severe type of the
mosquito-borne infection.

Meanwhile, both Congress and Justice Department are digging deeper into the
controversy. The Dengvaxia program that seems to be the answer to lessen the number
of dengue victim and save the lives of the children only made the case worse.

It is true that maintaining the child’s health is a mutual responsibility of the

parents and organization assigned to it. Therefore the Dengvaxia that brought a harmful
and alarming level needs to be examined and make an effective prevention to avoid the
harm for the child’s health.

This then is a humble call for the current and previous administration to stop
pointing fingers to each other. The officials of concerned organization must extend more
assistance and prevention in terms of keeping the children lives out of harmful effect of
Dengvaxia.

Effective prevention against Dengvaxia may save the lives of many children.
