Tip: You can use this quote when you are feeling grateful to be comfortable at home.
Sample: After a wonderful vacation, when I finally got home, I sighed and said, “There’s

Tip: You can use this quote when you find yourself in an unfamiliar place.
Sample: When I got off the plane in a foreign city I said “We’re not in Kansas
anymore.”

“Run, Forrest, run!” -Forrest Gump


Tip: You can use this quote when you see someone you know running and you want to
encourage them.
Sample: When I was running past my neighbor’s house, he waved and yelled “Run,
Forrest, run!”

Tip: You can use this quote to announce that you’re leaving, but you’ll return.
Sample: Before I left to pick up the pizza for dinner, I told my husband “I’ll be back.”

“Hasta la vista, baby.” -Terminator 2


Tip: You can use this quote to say “see you later.”
Sample: My young niece’s favorite thing to say to people is “hasta la vista, baby.”

Tip: You can use this quote when something minor goes wrong.
Sample: When I spilled my coffee on my new sweater, my sister said “Who ya gonna

Tip: You can use this quote when you want to ask someone what they’re doing.
Sample: When my cat ran in the room holding something in its mouth, I said, “Eh,

“With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.” - Spider-Man


Tip: You can use this quote to remind someone to use their position of power for good.
Sample: My cousin is a police officer, and he lives by the motto “With great power
comes great responsibility.”

Tip: You can use this quote when something goes wrong.
Sample: When I forgot to put the ice cream in the freezer, it melted, and I said,

Tip: You can use this quote when your voice is being distorted by something (like a
mechanical fan) or if you are talking to your child in a silly way.
Sample: My brother loves to chase his kids around the yard saying, “I am your father!”

Tip: You can use this quote when you want to wish someone good luck.
Sample: When my husband said he wanted to clean out the garage today, I told him

“E.T. phone home.” -E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial


Tip: You can use this quote when you want to call someone or remind them to call you.
Sample: If my mom has something she wants to tell me, she sends me a text that says,
“E.T. phone home,” so that I know to call her when I have a minute.

“Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” -Snow

Tip: You can use this quote when you’re feeling beautiful (or handsome!) and want
everyone to know it.
Sample: When my niece was dressed for her dance recital, she repeated the line,

Tip: You can use this quote as a way to encourage someone (or yourself!) to keep
going, keep trying.
Sample: When I saw how much work was left to do, I told myself, “Just keep

Tip: You can use this quote as a way to act like a “tough guy”, whether you are being
funny or serious; or if you’re not sure if someone is talking to you
Sample: When my cat started meowing at me I said, “You talking to me?”

“I'm walking here! I'm walking here!” -Midnight Cowboy


Tip: You can use this quote when someone or something interrupts your path or almost
hits you.
Sample: I was on a walk in the neighborhood when my neighbor accidentally sprayed
me with a water hose. I laughed and said, “Hey! I’m walking here!”

“Beam me up, Scotty!”-Star Trek


Tip: You can use this quote when you want to leave somewhere or get out of a
situation.
Sample: When my friend realized her date was going poorly, she texted me, “Beam me
up, Scotty!”

Tip: You can use this quote to inspire or celebrate victory. It’s usually just shortened to
“Freeeeedom!”

Tip: You can use this quote to say that something might look like a small effort but it has
a really big meaning.
Sample: When my husband put his dirty socks in the laundry basket, I said, “That’s one
