How to Install Spectrum Scale Client

Windows 2008R2

1) Create the local account “root”

2) Insert the root account into the Administrators group
3) Changing the HOME Directory to root
4) Give root user rights in Local Security Policy
5) Shutdown the Firewall
6) Log with the root account, download and install the Cygwin and include the packages flip, m4,
mksh, perl, procps, openssh
7) Insert the packages
8) Run the Cygwin like Administrator
9) Execute the ssh-host-config following the procedures bellow:

Look each questions bellow carefully:
Check the correct directories with the correct owner

Put the service openssh up

In the Linux GPFS Server, try to access with SSH

Name Resolution
Installing the Spectrum Scale Packages
Inserting the Windows Client into the Cluster
Give a reboot

Log like root

Wait some minutes and check if the services are UP
Give the Windows a letter to mount !!!
