Apple Company

Product Name and Brief descriptions

The new product that will be part of the Apple Company is the Apple Bike plus. The bike

will be similar to a Peloton fitness bike. However, it will work in a unique way while integrated

with iPhones and software of Apple, including the Apple Watch and health through the Apple

Fitness App. This app that will be the main component of the bike comes with some

subscriptions where one is supposed to sign in with their Apple ID while confirming the

subscriptions fee or charges. The bike will be used for the fitness and exercise purposes.

Consideration as a line of Category Extension

This product is in the line extension. The products of line extension are goods that

already exist in the market, but additional features, attributes, or benefits have been included in it

to attain a competitive power and increase the basis of the market (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010).

This implies that the product is a line extension since Apple Company will outsource its other

products that are already in the market so as to partner with this new brand.

Acquisition of information and research to be undertaken

The research will aim at analyzing the financial reports from Apple Company. In addition

to this, the research will be extended to information regarding companies that deal with an

almost similar product in the market such as Peloton Fitness Bike Company. Much focus will be

laid on the techniques that these other companies used in marketing their similar product.

Reason for marketing the product either locally or globally

This product will be marketed both locally and at the global level. The company will

work closely with the other companies that deal with fitness and exercise bikes so as to capture

international and local markets. Furthermore, the outlets of Apple Company will play an integral

role in the distribution and marketing of this product.

Description of key customers

The primary customer target will be the customers of Apple products, including the

iPhones, iPads, and even Apple TVs. Other customers include the people who are interested in

doing exercises for the purposes of being physically fit. This is the target group because many

people are joining the exercise and fitness sector in order to ensure that they remain healthy and

avoid health issues that are related to a lack of physical exercise.
