Gospel Reflection

September 5, 2021
Mark 7:31-37

The gospel describes the journey of Jesus and his disciples to the area in which
this miracle of the healing of a deaf and mute man takes place. Then Jesus put his
fingers on the man’s ear, and he put some spit on the man’s tongue, and then suddenly,
the man could hear and he could speak.

In this gospel, there is a question that pops up in my mind, are we astounded at

what Jesus does in our life? Are we being touched by Christ? Sometimes we can't hear
because we're listening on our own, sometimes we're not listening to the words of
Christ. Sometimes we can't say and speak the right thing to anybody because we're not
speaking the words of Jesus. But then we realize that Jesus has caused us in
everything, he has caused us to be able to walk and run and not get weary even amid
trials and tribulations of life. As a missionary, we should always open ourselves to be
touched by Jesus, we have to be willing to repent. We should let ourselves be healed
and let him touch our minds and lives every day. We have to truly see the miracles of
Jesus. As Christian, we should always believe in a miracle, and we have to accept the
miracle that Jesus gives. Let us see ourselves and see the people were praying for are
healed. We should always dare to believe that Jesus works on miracles, then if we
believe and accept those miracles, we can truly see them when they happen. As a
missionary, we should always speak his word and hear his words and do his actions,
and that is the greatest miracle of all.
