Workshopnadd Summary of Mega HR Konclave workshop 3

The workshop started with Prof .Sradha Padhi welcoming the guest Ms. Debjani Roy ,Chief HR
Advisor,Mind your own fleet .It was followed by the welcome speech mentioning the spectacular work
done by our beloved founder Prof (Dr). Achyuta Samanta, mention of KIIT School of Social Sciences(KISS)
and activities of KIIT School of Management(KSOM) by the anchor, Mudra Mohanty from MBA I.
This was followed by showing the Mega HR Konclave Workshop Theme, after which the faculty
coordinator was introduced. The faculty coordinator introduced the guest Ms. Debjani Roy and
welcomed her to start the workshop and share her expert knowledge with all the students present.

The session started with the brief introduction about the Phygital world & Phygital customer
Experience .She also gave many examples like Mass retailer curb-side pick up solutions & delivery
programs by using mobile apps,Using a connected device to monitor one’s health etc. then she talked
about critical Skills required for Phygital customer.

She also said the main & important points of these “new” phygital times ,which includes 1 st point-
Analytical thinking and Innovation . It

Mr. Karan further mentioned that customer loyalty is very important and is only formed if the brand is
adding value to the customer’s life. He cited an example of the brand Apple and how the brand focuses
on the customer touch points and have been able to secure the position of one of the most successful
brands by targeting the customers’ needs with the application of emotional and rational benefits to the
customers.

Importance of digital marketing in this fast moving and ever-changing era was discussed. Mr. Karan
addressed a question which dealt with the marketing strategies post Covid 19 scenario. He stressed on
the point that many sectors have been inversely impacted by the Covid and for each sector require
different strategies, but what remains same is the market research. He elaborated that creating a data
point is a very important aspect of the marketing and with market research the brand can bring out the
favourable outcomes.

The faculty coordinator concluded the workshop with a vote of thanks to Mr. Paresh Karan on behalf of
Honourable Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Director KSOM, Mr Saroj Mahapatra and the Marketing
Konclave team. Mr. Karan in turn mentioned his happiness to be a part of this endeavour.

It was a brilliant, engaging and an insightful learning experience for the students involved.
