 BAHAUS PRODUCT- B32 CHAIR

• B32 chair is a cantilevered single Seater chair.

• A cantilever chair is a chair whose seating and framework are not

supported by the typical arrangement of 4 legs, but instead is held
erect and aloft by a single leg or legs that are attached to one end
of a chair's seat and bent in an L shape, thus also serving as the
chair's supporting base.

• Cantilevered chair gives a dynamic look to the regular house hold

product.

• A regular chair is looked in an innovative way. A chair no more

needs to have four legs to be able to provide comfortable seating.

• This is revolutionary design was bought forward by the artists of

the Bahaus moment- Marcel breuer

• The material is exclusively chosen as other regular materials used in chairs ( wood,
plastic) could not have helped create this revolutionary design.
• The artist saw the material properties of tubular steel and saw an opportunity in
creating a new design for a chair.
• Steel is good in tension and does not break easily.
• The steel tube in the periphery of the seat carries the load and transfers it to the
base.
• These properties of steel has given rise to many creative designs. Physics and art
when come together bring a change of thoughts and perception of regular ideas.

After the innovation of this chair more prototypes of different products
became available. The idea Remains the same.
