“Bridgerton” Star Regé-Jean Page Set to

Star in Upcoming Netflix Film from

Noah Hawley

By Ryan Vandergriff
After what felt like an overnight breakthrough success with the buzzed about watercooler series
Bridgerton, it seemed as if the world collectively held its breath for word – any word – on precisely
which project English actor Regé-Jean Page would tackle next. Industry pundits had the talented
thespian tackling everything from Superman to James Bond; heck, this jaded former Movieline reader
half expected word to come down from up on high that no less of an American institution than Mickey
Mouse might be his latest transformation as an actor. All of the speculation is nothing if not a testament
to the undeniable chops Page possesses and is also a telling indicator as to how unoriginal Hollywood
can oft-times be; Page is such a dynamic presence onscreen it feels almost an insult to saddle him with
other actor’s leftovers rather than attempt to pair him with new and exciting material from a visionary
director along the lines of P.T. Anderson or Martin Scorsese.
Finally our long global nightmare is now over and erstwhile actor-extraordinaire Regé-Jean Page has
come to the momentous decision of how to follow-up Bridgerton, according to our always on the ball
muchachos over at The Hollywood Reporter.

Announced this very fine October day is the news that Page will next be seen in an untitled Netflix heist
film to be directed and written by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Lucy in the Sky, Legion), with an able producing
assist from brothers Joe and Anthony Russo and Mike Larocca under their production shingle ABGO. This
project, which also sees Page take on an Executive Producing credit, marks something of a reunion
between the in-demand actor and the aforementioned Russo Brothers who are hot off of directing him
in another Netflix flick still to be released entitled The Gray Man.

In a press release announcing the project, Larocca said that “ABGO was originally founded to allow us to
collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfill that
pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Regé-Jean Page.”

As hammered home in this article’s opening paragraph (subtlety; what’s that?), Page is on a roll and this
announcement fills up an already crowded dance card for the young actor which also includes such
upcoming roles in films like Dungeons & Dragons and the Paramount reimagining of their long-dormant
The Saint property.

So keep your tired old peepers peeled to Vents for any and all news and updates on the continuing
global fascination for the talented Mr. Regé-Jean Page!
