Writing Task 3: a proposal

Your college currently does not provide enough support for students planning to spend time
studying in another country. You see this notice.

The college is planning to introduce a course for students planning to spend time studying in another
country. The college principal invites students to send a proposal outlining any problems students
may face when studying abroad and suggesting ways in which the course could address these
problems. A decision can be made about on what to include on the course.

The principal objectives of this proposal are to describe the most common difficulties of the
students when they are studying abroad and recommend ways a course could help them to cope
with these. In the final of this section shows some recommendations about what should include in
the course.

There is complicated situation when students are living abroad. They described it, how they were
suffering living in a new country for instances, loneliness or anxiety. A large group of students
argued that the language could be obstacle and sometimes they were not prepared to deal with
the new culture. Other problems mentioned were the students packing unnecessary clothes and
some of them were not prepared for the climate.

The course could prepare to the student and help them to feel less nervous in their future trip
with a session with therapist, talking about their expectations, feelings and dreams. Besides the
course includes groups of conversations that will address topics about languages, culture and how
the students should deal the cultural shock and feel comfortable in the country that they are
knowing.

If these recommendations are implemented: Orientation, the therapist for the students and the
groups of conversation. We will have students well prepared with more confident without fear to
take this new challenge. These new ideas should be taken seriously, because a great group of
professionals will be working on it.
