QUEENS CLUB RULES, 2011

Preamble. These Rules and Regulations have been formulated by the Management of Queens
Club in conformity with its Agreement with the Members and in the interest of all its members
and to promote the health, safety and the welfare of all those using the Club facilities as well as
to preserve and protect the Club property. The management of the club may amend these
Rules & Regulations from time to time and such amendments shall become effective from the
day they are put up on the notice board of the Club.

Section 1. Short Title.

i. These Rules shall be called as the Queens Club Rules, 2011.

ii. They shall come into force on such date as the Management of the Club may notify by
putting up such notice on the Notice Board of the Club or in such other conspicuous place in
the premises of the Club.

Section 2. Definitions. Unless otherwise inconsistent with or contrary to the subject or context
thereof

(a) "CLUB" shall mean "QUEENS CLUB" and all complexes as may be set up by the Club.

(b) "MEMBER" shall mean all categories of Members of the Club.

(c) "YEAR" shall mean the Financial year viz. 1st April to 31"March".

(d) "MANAGEMENT OF THE CLUB" shall mean and include the Owner of the Club, its directors,
agents, employees and authorized representatives.

(e) "LOCAL AREA" means area covered by Raipur District.

(f) “GUEST” shall mean any person being a Non-resident of the Local Area and not being a
member, validly introduced by a member for temporary use of any of the facilities of the Club,
subject to such terms, conditions or restrictions as may be decided by the Governing Council
from time to time.

(g) “FAMILY” shall mean self, spouse and children’s up till their marriage.

Section 3. Sole Proprietory Club

i. As the Club is a sole proprietary concern belonging to Eminent Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd its
membership does not confer on the members any right, title or interest of any nature
whatsoever in the assets and facilities of the Academy.
ii. The Management of the Club vests exclusively in the Board of Directors of Eminent
Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd and its authorised executives and employees who in these Rules and
Regulations are referred to as 'the Management of the Club'.

iii. The members of the Club have no right to be involved in the Management of the affairs of
the Club, either individually or collectively.

Section 4. Members Admission. A member must check in and present his/her membership card
each time he/she uses the Club. Member requesting access to the Club without his/her
membership card may be required to pay the usual guest fee.

Section 5. Conduct of Members & Their Guests.

i. All members, their families and their guests shall accept and abide by the rules and
Regulations of the Club, and as amended by the Management of the Club from time to time.
Members are responsible for their own conduct and for the conduct of their family
members and guests.

ii. No athletic attire shall be left in the Club overnight unless the member has an assigned
locker.

iii. All food and beverages consumed on the club premises must be provided by the club only.
The Club reserves the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to any Member or guest who in
the opinion of the Management of the Club appears to be intoxicated.

iv. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. The club is a drug free zone and no violation
will be tolerated. Chewing of Pan, Pan masala, Guthka and similar products is not allowed
within the premises.

v. Shouting, Spitting, throwing litter or disturbing the peace of the club in any manner is
prohibited. Members who indulge in such behavior will be asked to leave the club’s
premises immediately.

vi. Members and their guests shall not use abusive language towards the Club’s employees,
and any employee not rendering proper service should be reported to the manager of the
Club immediately.

Section 6. Damages. Every Member will be liable for any damage caused to the property of the
Club or to the property or person of any executive or employee. Club crockery, glassware,
furniture, etc. broken otherwise than by incident, shall be charged upto two times of its cost
price. Vouchers for such damages shall be sent to the member concerned for payment. This
shall apply to club employees too. The cost to repair damage to the Club’s property by a
member’s guests shall be paid by the member.

Section 7. Rules Not Inclusive. The rules contained herein are not inclusive. Amendment to the
Club rules and regulations may be made from time to time as necessary. On all questions
regarding the interpretation of the Club rules and regulations, the decision of the Club shall be
final.

Section 8. Children/Dependants. Children under the age of sixteen(16) must be accompanied


by an adult (age 18 or older) at all times while at the Club. Specific age restrictions may be
placed upon children throughout the Club as they pertain to each area.

Section 9. Violations. All members shall be required to comply with and abide by and all rules
and regulations governing Queens Club and the Club members who violate such Rules and
regulations shall be subject to the termination of his/her membership pursuant to clause 8 of
the Membership Agreement.

Section 10. Availability of the Club facilities. The club staff reserves the right to close the
facility from time to time for private functions. Notification will be posted 48-hours in advance.
Membership expiration dates will not be extended due to closing for Private functions.

Section 11. Unclaimed Property. A list of the unclaimed property found in the club premises
shall be kept in the club office and registered in a register which shall be open to inspection of
members. All articles so found and not claimed by any person after one month of their recovery
shall be auctioned and the proceeds shall be used for the benefit of the club. The club is not
responsible for the articles left with the servants or lost in the Club

Section 12. Complaints

i. All complaints and suggestions of any kind shall be made in the respective book provided
for that purpose or the same may be forwarded directly to the secretary/manager in
writing.
ii. If the complaint is of serious nature the Secretary/manager will immediately look into the
matter and take such action as he deems fit under the circumstance and report his finding
and action taken to the Management of the Club in its next meeting. In all other cases the
investigation with regard to complaints or suggestions shall be made by the
Secretary/manager in due course who shall submit his report to the Management of the
Club.
iii. The decision taken by the Management of the Club shall be conveyed to the person
making suggestion or complaint in writing in case the member has written to the
Secretary/manager and in all other cases shall be recorded in the complaint or the
suggestion book as the case may be.

Section 13. Card Room.

i. The game of Bridge and rummy are the only games that may be played in the Club
ii. Any other game of cards which the Management of the Club may permit to play for a
specific period
iii. The card stakes shall be applicable and decided by the Management of the Club from time
to time.
iv. Member shall in no case play stakes higher than those stated above
v. The sitting in the above referred rules shall be construed to mean a period of not more
than 3 hours;
vi. Five or less than five persons shall play 13 cards rummy with two packs of cards only but
six or seven persons may play with three packs. In case of 21 cards rummy five or less
members may play with three packs.
vii. Not more than seven persons shall play rummy on one table. Those waiting to play shall
have to demand a cut at the end of a round only;
viii. Guests may also play Bridge or Rummy at usual charges.

Section 14. Billiards/Pool Room.


i. The Billiards room shall remain open during club hours. The restriction on timing may be
relaxed by the Secretary during tournament days if so requested by any member.
ii. When the Billiards room is in use, any member who is present in the Club and is not
playing at the table may secure the table at the end of the game for play for a single game
of not more than half an hour for two persons and one hour for more than two persons
writing his/her name or causing it to be written by the marker on the slate provided for
this purpose in the room;
iii. Such a member may also if he wishes to specify on the slate the time at which he wishes
to book the table for play provided such time does not interfere with the game already in
progress;
iv. The member must be present in the billiards room at the completion of the game in
progress, as otherwise he will forfeit his turn;
v. When the table becomes available in the absence of a member whose name is entered
first on the slate, it may be claimed by the member whose name stands second on the
slate, and so on in rotation, the name of the absent members being erased from the slate
by the marker. The players, in possession of the table, should they wish to play another
game, have prior right to the table over the member who though present has not had his
name entered on the state;
vi. When the table for which one or more names have been entered on slate, has become
disengaged, it is to be offered by the marker in rotation to the members whose names
were entered on the slate, according to the priority of entry, provided they are present in
the Billiards room;
vii. A member wishing to play with the marker may not write his name of the slate;
viii. The marker shall record on the slate the time of start of play whenever any member first
occupies the table;
ix. All members shall record the game by signing in the register available before they leave
the billiards room;
x. Any games likely to damage the table or accessories are strictly prohibited;
xi. members or guests shall not sit or lie on the table, smoke over it, place glasses or
cigarettes or any other articles on the table;
xii. If any guest damages the cloth, the table or any accessories or fitting in the billiards room,
the introducing member shall be charged an amount to be fixed by the
Secretary/Manager in consultation with the Sports Committee.
xiii. In case of any dispute that may arise during play, the decision of the Marker shall be final;
xiv. Silence shall be maintained in the billiards room while tables are in use.

Section 15. Badminton/Table Tennis/Lawn Tennis.

i. A non-member of the club may play as a guest provided he/she is introduced by a


permanent member only. The introducing member is responsible for game fee and for
entering the guests name in the club guest book.
ii. Temporary members will pay charges in advance

Section 16. The Health Zone & Swimming Pool.

i. The Health Club and Swimming Pool shall be available for use of members and their
dependents only. Local guests cannot be entertained and only guests staying in the guest
house or out station guests of permanent members shall be allowed on per visit payment
basis.

Section 17. General Rules.

i. The Club facilities shall be open on the days and during the hours as may be decided by
the management of the club. Use of the club facilities may be restricted or reserved
from time to time. Those availing of the facilities of the Club do so at their own risk and
shall follow the rules applicable for using those facilities.
ii. Children must not use the restaurants as a play area. Mothers must only nurse children
outdoors or in the children’s room.

iii. Children below the age of 14 are not permitted to use the billiards and pool tables.
Children below the age of 16 are not permitted to enter the cards room.

iv. The behavior of children in the Club should not be disturbing to that of other members
and their guests and any children found creating a disturbance will be asked to leave the
Club premises immediately.

v. Children are permitted to be present in the club up to 10.30 p.m. on all days except on
Saturdays. On Saturdays and Special nights, children have to vacate the Club premises
by 7.00 p.m.

vi. Children under 16 years of age may use the Dining Room if accompanied by parents.

vii. The use of mobile phone is not allowed in the gym and spa.

viii. Fire arms and any other kinds of weapon are not permitted on the Club premises.

ix. Only adults above the age of 18 will be allowed entry into the bar. Alcoholic drinks will
not be served to any person below the age of 21 years.

x. Bodyguards / Drivers / Attendants are not permitted to enter the club at any time and
cannot be signed in as guests.

xi. Members must intimate the Club of all cancellations of confirmed reservations for the
chargeable facilities at the Club at least 8 hours prior to the reservation, barring which
the Member shall be liable to pay the cost of the relevant facility.

xii. Members shall obtain prior written permission from the Manager of the Club before
holding any functions or parties in the Club premises or engaging any artists or
performers. The premises of the Club shall not be used for organizing functions or fund
raising efforts for the benefit of any political party or religious group.

xiii. Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the Club premises.

xiv. Loss of membership cards must be reported immediately to the Club in writing and any
misuse of the card prior to written notification shall be the responsibility / liability of the
Member.
xv. All commercial solicitations and advertisements are prohibited in the Club premises
other than any that may be permitted by the Management of the Club in writing.
Members agree not to part with the roster of the list of Members of the Club to anyone.

xvi. The personnel of the Club are authorized to enforce these Rules & Regulations and any
violations will be reported to the Management of the Club which after conducting such
enquiry as it deems fit, may adopt disciplinary action against the offending member and
in appropriate cases, terminate the membership of the offending Member pursuant to
clause 8 of the Membership Agreement.
