TTO - Malaysia today recorded an additional 110 cases of COVID-19, bringing
the total number of cases nationwide to 900, while Spain and Iran recorded
hundreds more deaths.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 in Iran has increased by 149 to 1,284,
according to the Iranian Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, the total number of
current infections has increased by 1,046 to 18,407.

"According to our information, 1 person dies every 10 minutes because of


the new strain of coronavirus and about 50 people are infected every hour
in Iran," Iranian Ministry of Health spokesman Kianush Jahanpur wrote on
Twitter. .

In Spain, the Ministry of Health recorded another 209 deaths from the
disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 767. The total number of
infections in Spain also increased from 13,716 to 17,147.

The number of new strains of corona virus infection in the Netherlands has
increased by 409 to 2,460, according to the Dutch National Institutes of
Health (RIVM). According to the agency, the number of deaths there has also
increased from 58 to 76.

The UK National Health Service (NHS) has reported an increase of 29 cases


of corona virus in the country, reaching 128 in March 19.

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said it had sent 500,000 tests of
the new strain of corona virus to the United States, at Washington's
request. Koca also said that Turkey has conducted more than 10,000 COVID-19
tests, and they want to push that number to 15,000 tests a day.
Sotiris Tsiodras, an official at the Greek Ministry of Health,
confirmed that the number of COVID-19 cases there increased
from 418 to 464 in March 19. He also confirmed Greece had 6
people died from the disease.
