Differentiate

Differentiate means a firm producing different types of segments in a same brand name, for
example Toyota is producing different types of cars, such as corolla, Prado, Prius, Yaris etc.
Consumers having different options to buy the products in a brand, and they can purchase
according to their need. Manufacturing different segments is an expensive for the company
compare to producing a single segment. However, in the modern world it is needed for earning
profits because there a lot of competitions (Armstrong et al. 2018, p. 182).
Position
Position means each company keep a value (brand) to the consumers mind. For example,
Toyota is branding for fuel efficiency and less expensive, they are manufacturing hybrid cars like

Secondly, Volvo is positioning on powerfully and safety. Company select the target and panned
the position to earn more profit (Armstrong et al. 2018, p. 186).
There are different stages for differentiation and positioning, such as identifying a set of
differentiating competitive advantages upon which upon which to build a position, choosing the
right competitive advantages and selecting an overall positioning strategy (Armstrong et al.2017,
p. 188)
