Executive Summary.

Executive summary
This research has been extensively prepared for Bike MS events for their fundraising. This report has primarily focused on
taking feedback provided from the proposal and presentation. This research provides a strategic planning report. This report
delves into data set for Bike MS from 2013 to 2017 and formulates various plans to achieve the goal. This report uses the
platform SAS VIYA to analyses the data set and provides descriptive and predictive analysis. The important insight in research
delves into participant analysis, occupation analysis, marketing analysis and gender-based discrimination. It will affect the
events profits and new participants for emerging markets. This report also provides scope of research, key findings, and
recommendation for the marketing and participants to deal with various issues or opportunities mentioned. It is suggested that
Bike MS can improve their marketing through the proper guidance and awareness programs. To find out that the participant
analysis and occupation analysis are employed. Participant analysis is made country wise and city wise with visualization and
data to find out the proper key insights. Occupation analysis makes an assessment with different fields to find out the insights
and marketing analysis to provide valuable insights which help for the growth of the events. At last, gender-based discrimination
assessment on various years is also carried out to know about the number of females and males separately. By deeply descriptive
analysis and predictive analysis suggest can be made because of the relationship between the variables of participant goal,
number emails. It suggests that co-ordination can make good results .By utilizing the research articles and prior example of data
can help to grow their events .This report also brings some limitation and possible disadvantage present with recommendations
and this report will summarize and wrap up the report by explaining the key insights and recommendations. While the final
thoughts to the events help for the future growth and opportunities for expansion.
Introduction

Bike MS is one of the largest fundraising events in the cycling world. Each year, nearly 75,000 cyclists and more than 6,000
teams ride together to change the world for people with MS. The event is basically organised mainly around the US each
year, by different organizations and other fundraising bodies in and around the US (Fasczewski et al.2020). An event for a
neurodegenerative disease called, Multiple Sclerosis, where our body’s immune system starts attacking at our own tissues
causing involuntary muscle movements and the cause for this disease is still unknown. So as a remedy for this exercise is
an important part, where a moderately affected individual can work out and reduce the MS problems. So, biking can be a
part of the fundraising. Hence the name Bike MS came. This event will be organised by many companies and charitable
trusts to gain global identity and awareness (Fasczewski et al.2020).

This research is one of the dominant accounts. These findings has been prepared for Bike MS to reach the goal .This
business report contains important information which implies how to reach the maximum fund raising for identifying and
analyzing the relationships between variables .Through the specified explanation of a few issues and recommendation help
to achieve more .

The objective is to find an effective way to increase the global funding each year in an incremented way by analyzing the
data given and the information retrieved from the past global campaigns that were organised by different groups. Our
main goal is to increase the profit that is obtained from the fundraising campaigns and bring out more productive ways to
bring up the active participation of the people across the globe, irrespective of their gender and job. Mainly this project
aims to reach maximum funding for the event .Based on the dataset provided it can easily find out the methods for getting
the proper solution.

Theatrical Framework

As per the detailed findings, the major three parts, occupation analysis, participant’s goals, marketing analysis, are divided.
These three analyses play a vital role in f achieving maximum fund raising. As per this literature it is divided in to the three
sections, that is occupation analysis, participant’s goals and marketing analysis.

Detailed Analysis for Fundraising Campaign

Basically

Descriptive qualitative technique, the usage of semi-dependent cognizance group, individual, and get in touch with
interviews, mixed with observational subject notes, to discover the people recognized with MS and 4 own (?) circle of
relatives participants from local self-assist companies who all actively participated in a Bike MS event. Participants
suggested crucial social bonds, elevating recognition for the cause, fundraising, long-time period bodily benefits, and
universally improved best of existence as reasons for participation. All members suggested long-time period PA
participation due to Bike MS participation (Shi et al. 2018).

Information on 30000 Bike MS groups which participated in activities from 2013 to 2017, and the alternative information

important part because having a goal makes huge impact and the technique to improve the fund raising can be
improved .With the result of participant goal another participant’s goals also can be improved (Vallez, Castro& Contreras,
2021). The third one is the marketing analysis as per the detailed analysis, email marketing one of the fine marketing tools
today. Detailed study on that, through the visualization is being made. . Detailed study to improve the marketing such as
digital marketing techniques etc...is being undertaken.

Scope of research:-

This research is mainly concentrating to reach the maximum profit level in each event. Sometimes the
data shows the number of participant’s fluctuations on different years, so, doing the findings and
solution make huge reflections on the goal .while doing the deep analysis help to find out the solutions
easily.

It is divided in to the major three parts that are study of participants occupation and marketing. In
that implemented the machine learning techniques such as descriptive analysis, linear regression and
predictive analysis. As the part of the detailed study on algorithms results the solution to reach
maximum fund and how to maintain amount of fund constantly through this. It should be an example
for these kinds of events happening at everywhere in the world. It is applicable to reach the maximum
profit. For an example 75,000 cyclists to 1, 00000 participants with more teams.

Key Issues and Observations

Mainly our project uses the data set of Bike MS participants from 2013 to2017. The data set of Bike
MS donations and advertisements contains the number of variables which helps to know about the
number of participants, participant’s goal, amount of transaction, and net transaction amount of the
team. In short term analysis, there is lack of marketing and lack participants to develop into data set and
to provide valuable insights. This report uses SAS Viya to build the models using machine learning
techniques to reach the solutions.

Problem Statement:-

As per the deep study, there are some fixed issues to overcome the lack of fundraising and lack of
marketing. Basically, globally organisation fundraising campaign face some issues naturally due to the
lack of the coordination of management. If the management puts some effort on the guidance, it can
create maximum profit. From the given data records, here it uses the Bike MS participation connection
from 2013 to 2017.
As per the detailed findings, lack of email marketing, lack participants and lack of marketing is the main
issues. It can be understood, how email influences the number of participants and there is no proper
participants analysis with city-wise. It is also evident that, gender influences show different number
variation in each year. The occupation of the people also has the great influence in the participation. So,
lack of participants is explained on the basis of email marketing, lack of organising, lack of marketing and

The above table shows the number of participants on the basis of the email and it is based on the network analysis which is included
number of cities and number of participants. It involves the great findings from Orange, St. Clara and Wakula city. Orange city had a
moderate result with 2567 emails and it results 3810 of participants. There are a highest number of emails sent to St Clare with 4000 but
there were only 1576 of participants. However, in Wakula city had no participants with 1000 email sent, this is a major problem due to
lack of marketing, lack of emails and without proper guidance.

Lack of marketing

Marketing is one of the major needs for every organization. It plays an important role for accruing the maximum profit on the every
filed. In this research there are some issues in marketing. For an example, it shows a weak relationship between participant goals and
number of emails .Normally, it is needed a proper correlation but here is only 0.0025 only. As per the marketing procedure it is needed
more relationship. If there are maximum participant’s goals, there will be more participation.

In this research, the management chose the email marketing as the major component but here it shows clearly about the relationship
between the participant goals and emails sent.

As per the detailed study on the emails sent and participant goal had a huge variation on the both variables. It clearly
shows lack of marketing. In Denver city, there were above 100000 email sent but there were less than 5 million of
particpants whereas Anaheim had above 40,000 emails sent and it had less than 1.5 million participant. It can be
understood that it is needed to send maximum emails for achieving the participants number

Lack of organising

As per the detailed study in each and every section it had organization issues in this research, there are some major variables
issues.

For an example, it shows the variation in participant goal and prior participants. The prior

participants reached less number of the participation goal, for example, it above 5 millions of

participants in Denver with 100000 emails. Therefore, it is needed a proper focus on more organising

the team members

Participant Analysis
Participant analysis is the main subject that has been found out from the above data on Bike
MS where the increase in the participation as a whole can develop the overall increase in
amount such as 40% to 80% and also helps in the public awareness on the benefits of
participating in such a campaign.
The participants who are part of a company or an organisation, where these companies
organize these events to make their working group to be active and creating awareness
among the staff and other people who are working behind these projects and once the
registered candidates participate, they must be an active participant for next year.
Participation - City Wise
Actually, it helps to find out the number of participants city wise, which helps to increase the
fundraising city wise. The participation from the city is much more interested and they are
clearly exposed all the campaigns. The whole community from specific area will actively
join every year and they give a fixed amount as donation.
Locality is a specific part in these kinds of events, where there must be a lot of space to
organize or host event. The open areas are needed for the ease of organizing and more people
can be accommodated according to the people participating.

Visual representation (figure 1) based on the city wise participation of the people, where
according to the graph the most people who are participating in the event is mainly from the
Denver. It was above, 2500 particpants, appropriately 3810 and this participation of people is
keeping on increasing year by year as the people participation is increasing.

Country wise participats in city wise helps to find out the relationship between participant
goals, where people come from different countries to participate in the event. It provides us
information about the goal for each country where a specific amount will be targeted and
each country participants need to achieve the desired amount. For gaining more funds this
relationship is important, so as there will be more actively participating people who are
available.

People were mainly from the Los Angeles area with 4334 participants and majority of them
participate in each year in the event were organised by this Bike MS fundraising campaign.
From these findings, it could be found out the weak area, the least number of participants are
there from the country. A solution could come up with a better plan to make more
participants in the future events that are to be conducted.

Fairfax Lee had 347 participants .This findings help to make more research on decisions.
Participants Occupation Analysis
Occupation analysis leads to maximum increase of participants in future where the company
participants organize these programs and there must be an active working for these events.
As per the findings, occupation analysis is very important because people who participate are
more from the engineering section 80% particpants. Based on this, marketing structure for
the section of fundraising can be improved. Students and healthcare section had the second
top participation in this analysis

As per the table’s findings engineering participants are more than 40,000 appropriately
49,800. But sales profession has 6000 participants whereas science and biotechnology
accounts for 2500.
According to the findings, if digital marketing is introduced on the engineering and
healthcare field the more awareness and publicity will be given to these fields, it will gain
more fundraising among students and healthcare workers where the second biggest number
joined as individuals to the group as they know the importance of this campaigning. Most of
the occupation details were missing. Any way it could be concluded that engineering section
and health care section had highest number in participation. The new generation people
know the value of exercising and maintain the health. So, they will be ready to participate
readily, without any fail and they also help in awareness campaigns and advertising through
schools and universities. Then more active participants can be gained from the part of
students, as they are looking forward to better healthy life.

As per the table finding there were 35000 of participants and gifts received with 4500
whereas 2500 of gifts from 24000 participant connections. From this, it can help to find out
solution easily.
Analyzing of Marketing
Marketing is the larger area, which helps to increase of 8000 of funding for these kinds of
events. Information regarding all these campaigns can be reached out to the people. Apart
from the companies, people who are actively participating instead these marketing strategies
focus on the people who are willingly ready to participate. Whenever the event is organized
and the people do the advertisements, so they could be informed continuously on these
events.
Here it shows that 40000 of the relationship between participant connection and suggested
analysis is really helpful to find out the relationship between them.
E-Mail based Marketing Analysis
Email marketing creates huge influences on the marketing, where a single content can reach
millions of people with a single touch. From the 60,000 emails, people accepted 40000
emails and most of them are participated.
From this analysis it was concluded that more email marketing in less participated areas so
that the people could be informed on the occurring of these events that are going to happen
in the near future.
Both of the visualizations explain about the email marketing which is very helpful for the
fundraising and with this report the number of mails area wise can be increased, country
wise where there is a greater number of acceptances of campaign proposal. This is the mail
that has been forwarded to the team captain and the members who actively want to
participate in the event.
It is very helpful to find out that creating concentration for marketing number of emails
explains about sending a mail works as a reminder for them to be in it. Here, it is concluded
decreasing in funds with 20000. So, email marketing has to be more.

This table shows number of emails sent as per the year and the number of participants from
the mail. As per the detailed analysis 437387.06 of participants from the Westminster city
and it was the top result in 2013. Boston had the second highest result and it had only the
least number of participants difference between the cities. It was entirely different in 2014.
In 2014, Duluth had the highest participants (334142.44) and in every year, the participants
slightly decreased. There are three major cities where the highest participants (Dover,
Orlando, Miami and Pine Mountain. Here it shows some entirely different results, such as
number of emails sent in Miami were low, but the maximum number of participants slightly
increased in 2016 and more emails were sent during those years. However, in 2017 it
increased moderately. From this, it is clearly understood the rate of email marketing were
low in 2014, 2015, 2016, so it needed an improvement in the emails, then only the maximum
fund for campaign can be obtained.

Almost all the mails were sent to the registered participants and people who all registered
they will be receiving the mails, so that they can participate in the event.
Methodologies
The research was basically based on the events of the data from the previous year’s Bike MS
is a fundraising campaign for multiple sclerosis affected people it is neuro genitive disease
which needs high payment for the treatment (Day, 1981). Here, 2013 – 2017 years of data is
used. The main aim of this analysis is to improve fund through this campaign .The research
on how people can be motivated for the maximum participation .For the detailed analysis,
three sections of analysis can be taken, that are participant analysis, occupation analysis and
marketing analysis. (Alocilja & Radke, 2003)
Social awareness and wellness is the major goal through research. So, the machine learning
methods are employed to find out the solution. As per the analysis, the data has to be clean
as a means avoiding the missing values (Fields, 2011). Then sample analysis has to be done
and choose categorical variables like difference of 2000 in variation of participants on data.
The relationship between variables has to be arrived at linear regression, so that after
prediction with data for future, which shows 20000-30000 hike of fund flows. Therefore,
through these findings can improve the maximum fundraising for the events, is possible.
Method:-
For this study the data sets contains there are 20 categorical variables and 33 measures are
shown, which was examined by SAS Viya learners. The data from 2013 to 2017 for analysis
purposes

Gender based discrimination


These are some randomly selected for 5 years data from Bike MS participants from 2013 to2017, the participants are selected from basis
of occupation to understand clearly

As per the gender analysis, it could be found that the male participants were more than the female participation. Therefore there should
be concentrating more on female section. The workload will be high in the female participants than male participants. If they work in
almost every department that will help to increase more in the fundraising events.

Males were higher number of participants with 5000 in engineering, whereas females were in low healthcare section with 3000.This
represents the lack of female participants in different type of occupations

In 2013, there were 2 male participants from Blissfield and Findlay but there was only 1 female participant from Amory.

2013

The above given data shows the majority of the participants were from male and a smaller number of females. It can be understood
600000 female participants whereas Blissfield had above 800000; it shows the lack of female participation from this year onwards.
In 2014 also there was same amount of gender participation from different parts of the city.

2014

The representation based on the 2014, the majority of the male participants were from the Columbus, female with 50,000 participants
and male 60,000 participants.

2015

This table shows that there were equal number of participations from males and females from the different parts of the country with
80000 participants, it slightly improved this year.

In 2016 the female participation was much higher than the rest of the years, mainly due to the women empowerment activities and
campaigns.

In the year 2016, the female participation had greater number and less number of male, majority of the females from Oakland (70000)
and San Francisco (80,000) However, Bluffton had 40,000 participants only

Descriptive Analysis:-
Basically, descriptive analysis is to identify the issues in an organisation. Data aggregation
and information mining are strategies utilized in descriptive evaluation to churn out data
information. In data aggregation, information is first gathered after which taken care of in an
effort to make the data sets are manageable. Descriptive strategies frequently encompass
creating tables of quantiles and means, strategies of dispersion consisting of variance or

In this analysis, the number of visualization was used to find out the solutions. More than six

30000 basically and occupation analysis leads to maximum fund raising in the future. The
number of participants from the city wise analysis helps to increase in marketing strategy for
the fund raising and the future in marketing. In marketing, email marketing and digital
marketing are included.
Predictive analysis
Predictive analytics is using data, statistical algorithms and device gaining knowledge of

Linear regression – participant analysis
Linear regression method is used to find out the variables relation. In statistics, linear

FORECASTING

Forecasting the participation of people from different parts of the globe is sorted out into the graph where line
passing through is the trend line where the data is being input into the bubble graph where the range of the
participant is given on one side and as the time passes by the graph is inclining or declining is identified with the
help of this forecasting graph consisting of an upper bound and lower bound and the figure is represented with the
help of bubble graph plotted.

Forecasting chart is basically used to visualize the overall growth of the company or an organization by plotting into
the graph. Here in this graph the participation of the people is checked. It clearly shows that from1000 to 3000
increase in participation and it will increase 2000 maximum

In the first representation, the frequency of participation of people is calculated like a constant number of people is
actively participating throughout the year if there’s a decrease as time passes by the value will be declined to
negative marking the time bound is from 2013 to 2017 timeline.
Recommendations and limitations

As per the detailed research find out the issues in the marketing techniques on the each sections of the
data through descriptive analysis ,predictive modeling [3] ,participation and occupation .Apart from the
solution there some recommendation based on the normal references study on the business analysis
with our domain. Here it is suggesting some recommendation which help to reach the goal

Some recommendations are:-

Affiliate network marketing:-

As per the detailed study of the marketing technique, here is the new suggestion to increase the
number of participants. While we are going through network based analysis [6] in the number of
participant. For an example, in Orange city had 3810 participants whereas York had only13 participants
.It results a huge difference and lack of marketing as per the findings.

In this research affiliate network marketing is one of the similar technique to reach the information
about the Bike MS event maximum. It is one of the finest methods to increase maximum profit [7] and
advertisement. For an example introduce some offers for marketing employees. For example one
person can add another 5 person with registration amount .The management can introduce some
attractive offers like 10% discount to the participant. The main marketer gets small percent of
commission and great discount for them. It mainly focuses to reach the people for the participation.

Proper Guidance

For any work needs a proper guidance so, it can help to make good results on the events .Basically
team work is one of the most successful way of achieving the goal [1]
and that can do great help to complete the work in less time by way through increasing the productivity
and reducing the work [2]. To develop on proper guidance, the manager needs to monitor the team
work, number of emails send in everyday and check how much accepted emails turns in to registration.
It helps to find out the solutions to achieve [4] the proper result. Scheduling the alternative meeting
with board members also really helpful [5] because the results show that some countries have zero
participants. For example, apart from that number of participants in city wise show that Orange and
Saint Clara had 3810 and 1510 participants, whereas Yuma had 10 participant only. Improvement of
guidance can help to avoid these kind of issues

Awareness campaign:-
Nowadays awareness is important for every event in the world. So, it is better to conduct more online
awareness program to help to reach more participants. Scheduling the frequent programs and social
media also can results better increase attract more participants. [9]These recommendations help the
management to make maximum profit from the current stage.
Awareness program, should include some attractive activities for the participants. Then only the
participation and program will increase and stay for long. [10] Need to increase the continuous official
employees meeting to improve participants

Limitation

During the research, number of missing values has the major part to find results but it affects the descriptive analysis and correlation. The
correlation is used to find out the relation. It plays the role of some difficulty during the time of analysis.

Due to the several sections of the dataset some confusions occurred and difficulty to maintain the data management. The data is
separated in to several section and it is not a one data with the number of section we have to analyse each thing on the data.

Due to this pandemic we can create awareness program only through online in current situation, awareness campaign can be conducted
through online only. Sometimes it affects the goal.

There is only limited data to work out on this research. The number of sections is very less and it is very difficult find out a solution.
Solution for the fundraising campaign

As per the detailed research it is evident that it is a fundraising campaign for the multiple
sclerosis disease affected people for finding the solutions (Reinharz, 2017). The Bike MS data
2013-2017 years MS data is the biggest fundraising occasion for charity functions specifically for
the neuro genitive disease, .These occasion is organised through the United States in each year.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder those consequences in deficits in
physical and cognitive functioning. Research facilitates the use of physical activity (PA) to useful
