Costs

 In the early stage of the project (Week 1, above), costs are relatively low. This corresponds to the

Initiating Phase. Costs tend to increase during the Planning Phase and the start of the Executing

Phase (Weeks 2 and 3).

 As the Executing Phase continues (Weeks 4 to 7), the costs continue to rise rapidly, peaking at about

the

 three-fourths point of the project and then beginning to fall as the work nears completion.

 During the Closing Phase (Week 8), the costs are relatively low.
