REPORT ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL ELECTION OF SATURDAY 4th SEPTEMBER 2021.

Sir,

Initially, Giwa LGA council is one of the 23 local Government council of Kaduna state, made up of
Eleven(11) wards out of three district and it has about one hundred and thirty six(136) polling units
spread around all the wards.

On Saturday 4th of September 2021, the Kaduna state Independent electoral commission started
distribution of voting materials to the various political wards of Giwa LGA at about 1145hours and
election exercise commenced at about 1245hours but a lots of challenges were encountered at the
polling units at various wards level but the security operatives were able to overcome the situation.

The local Government council election of Giwa LGA was successful recorded and the following result was
obtained and announced by Dr. Godwin Ayuba.

All progressive Congress (APC) won chairman election with total votes of 22,896, while People
Democratic party (PDP) have total votes of 3534 which become Second in the election and others
parties shares the remaining votes out of the total votes cast of 26733 for the entire 11 wards of Giwa
LGA.

Therefore, Alh. Abubakar Shehu lawal Giwa of (APC) member declared as a winner of Giwa LGA council
election 2021.
