Salam,
So here I am back with a new series of worksheets which I hope will be of help in any small way to students
of Arabic out there. Each worksheet has a little bit of explanation and then some exercises for you or your
students to work through.
Insha Allah, answer sheets will be uploaded once I have completed the worksheets.
The girls get the chance to develop their revision skills and to help each other to achieve high grades. I
explained to the girls that your friend doing well on the exams means she now understands the Qur’an a
little better in the language Allah revealed it in and you helped her achieve this.
The following activity was created to help them revise the Arabic prepositions.

Negation in Arabic

Bismillah,
Here is a review sheet on Negation in Arabic. I will be using this with my Year 10 class. I think it would be
best for me to review conjugation in Arabic.
Bismillah,
Year 10s were given the following assessment as their end of Term 2 test.

Bismillah,
A project that I gave to my students to complete during their half term break was to create a book titled
“The Giggly Guide to Arabic Grammar”. Inshallah, one day, I hope to author this book myself but I wanted
to see what my lovely year 8s would come up with.
This turned out to be a good way of encouraging the girls to review the grammar topics they had learnt
over their break. By working on presenting the grammar rules in a creative and light hearted way, the girls
have both realised which grammar rules they can explain to others (because they have understood it
themselves) and that Arabic can be fun to learn.

Bismillah,
My year 8s, 9s and 10s are learning 20 verbs that are oft-mentioned in the Qur’an, a useful list which I can
work from to help teach concepts such as conjugations in the different tenses, nouns, and keywords in the
Qur’an by extension.
E.g. By learning the verb “s-j-d” َس َج َد I can help students with past/present tense conjugation for the
different subject pronouns and help them identify nouns that are created out of this verb e.g. “masjid”. So
the verb roots are really the key to making students feel confident in exploring the Qur’an.

Bismillah,
Last term, Class 4 covered the following Arabic reading and writing topics:
Shaddah
Alif Maqsurah
Suspended Alif
Natural Madd – Alif, Waw and Yaa
Class 4’s teacher sent the following reading and writing pack home to help parents make revision with their
children over the Winter break an easier task. Each student had to complete the worksheet under parental
supervision.
I’ve been uploading the worksheets individually and thought it might also be useful to upload one Pdf with
all worksheets together to make printing a little easier (double sided copying for example).

Bismillah,
Here is a worksheet to help review possessive pronouns (attached pronouns). It helps students to identify
the possessive in the English sentence and then translate that into the Arabic pronoun they have been
taught.
I’m using this worksheet with students who need more revision on this topic and this worksheet inshallah
will give them the chance to review them in a format that isn’t my usual table format.
Bismillah,
The following worksheets were created by my sister, also a teacher for class 4 ( 7-8 year olds). I’ve created
one blogpost for them to make it easy to download and print the worksheets as they cover one concept:
Natural Madd.
Ideally, these worksheets are sent home over a holiday period and used to reinforce the learning over the
term.
This Arabic worksheet on the topic of Alif Maqsurah gives an explanation and short exercises to give the
student the chance to apply the knowledge via reading and writing practice.

Bismillah,
Here is a worksheet to review the suspended Alif. It is part of the basic Arabic reading and writing
worksheets. I hope it comes in handy when teaching your students.

A fun activity to help my Year 9 girls learn 20 Verbs mentioned in the Qur’an. I’ve only picked 20 to make it
easy for the girls as most of them get a lot of homework from school. I think a crossword puzzle will help
them see which ones they can remember and which ones they need to sit down and learn.

Bismillah,
Here is a good hands-on activity to help students review Subject pronouns in Arabic. It is a match up
activity and can be used in a variety of ways.
An example would be to set up a competition in the class to see how fast students can match up the
pronouns to their meaning. When we played this game, the kids had so much fun and I loved seeing them
enjoying Arabic so much alhamdolillah.
I printed out enough for each child to use and laminated both the mat and the cut outs to allow me to use
this resource across the school. I now wish I had printed it double sided to save paper but it works out fine
either way.

Bismillah,
It’s that time of year again where I’ve started planning for the coming term over again. The Arabic
workbooks I’ve designed have been edited and there is a curriculum that is coming together now
alhamdolillah.
In prep for the 1st lesson back, I’ve created this Back to Madrasah Arabic Grammar revision sheet to help
them review what was taught last year.
