Unexpected Love

“Oh come on Taehyunie. You have to help me. Please?” I whined at my best friend.

Taehyun looked at me and sighed quite indignantly. “Stop doing this Beomgyu-hyung.”

“Please, Tyunnie. Please.” I continued to whine as he looked at me with uncertainty.

“Beomgyu-hyung, stop it.” Taehyun grunted, sounding ready to give in.

“Taehyunie, please?? I need youuuu. Best friends?” I plead, mimicking him.

Taehyun sighed and said, “Fine.”

I let out a happy shriek, turning red all of a sudden. I jumped felicitously and hugged Taehyun, unable to
contain my happiness. This is it! Mission accomplished. Good job to myself. Finally! After months of
staying invisible around Choi Yeonjun, and after months of bearing the pain of being unnoticed by him,
it’s going to happen! Taehyun is going to help me be friends with the Choi Yeonjun! I knew this was
coming. I’m just hoping it will work.

Taehyun laughed at my reaction and shrugged. “Well, I think it’s time. You’ve been crushing on him
from the beginning of the school year. Since Yeonjun-hyung and I are really close friends, of course
you’d seek help from me”

I grinned at him cheekily. “Thank you, Tyun! Thank you so much”

Taehyun returned a lustrous smile. “You’re welcome.”

“Taehyun!” A voice called out, not far from us.

We both turned to see Choi Yeonjun walking briskly towards us, his hair jumping wildly from one place
to another. My eyes widened unexpectedly. My lips were sealed and I couldn’t fathom how I could even
stand still. I kept still as I continued watching him walk towards us with a glistening smile plastered on
his face. Of course it would be Yeonjun of all people. I sighed

“Hey hyung!” Taehyun greeted Yeonjun who totally ignored my presence. “What’s up?”

“Where have you been?” Yeonjun asked impatiently. “I’ve been looking for you.”

“Well hyung.” Taehyun looked at me teasingly. “Someone here needs my help.”

Seriously Taehyun? I looked at Yeonjun and his expressions portrayed that he was really curious about
whatever Taehyun could’ve done that took their bonding time. Well, I’m sorry I’m such a disturbance.

“What kind of help?”

Taehyun thought for a moment and said, “Never mind. This is Beomgyu-hyung by the way.” He pointed
at me

Yeonjun grinned. “I know you! You’re my classmate, right?”

I nodded. I thought that the capability for me to speak had unknowingly vanished. I can’t seem to find the
words to say. I was awestruck.

“Yeonjun-hyung, we just saw each other a while ago and you already missed me? Wow This is just so
cheesy.” Taehyun joked.

“No thank you Tyun. I came to tell you that we have volleyball practice tomorrow, after class.” Yeonjun
replied, laughing.
