What do you know about ASEAN?

 *

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional grouping that promotes economic,
political, and security cooperation among its ten members: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos,
Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam that aimed primarily to
promote and enable responsible for ensuring sustainable development for the benefit of the present
and future generations of the peoples at the centre of ASEAN community building process by plays
an important role Safeguarding the political security of its member countries that aimed at building
the resilience of the region, maintaining a peaceful and stable platform, and prevent interference
from foreign powers; Creating more effective sustainable investment at resources and
infrastructure facilities to achieved free flow of goods, services, and a freer flow of capital, equitable

development, job creation, and health & social protection, while also play an active role in fostering
a sense of regional identity and fellowship.

Which pillar did you choose and why? *

Im really interested with ASCC pillar because i want to play an active role in protecting and
improving the environment, especially when it comes to climate crisis & climate human rights which
refers to human trends and developments in changes in attitudes, behavior, and values in
environment. UN Secretary-General António Guterres called the report "a code red for humanity,"
noting that "global heating is affecting every region on Earth, with many of the changes becoming
irreversible.". Global climate change encompasses rising temperatures, extreme weather, shifting of
wildlife population and habitats, rising of sea levels, etc. Climate change also poses a major threat to
human life causing threats to physical health and survival, food and water shortages, and loss of
property, home, and way of life. Without further action, climate change will continue to devastate
people and the planet, and human rights will continue to be violated. While science tells us that
climate change is irrefutable, it also tells us that it is not too late to stop them. This will require
fundamental transformations in economic, social and cultural aspect. So We should acknowledge
this problem and bring a change to make the world a better place to live in.

As part of the ASEAN youth, how can you contribute to the pillar you chose? (e.g. policy
recommendations and development suggestions) *

As a ASEAN youth, i will contribute in ASCC by created a Youth council or youth movement with my
friends around the ASEAN in order to encouraging and inspiring people in ASEAN Region for join
environmental action and also to promote participation in environmental practices by held a online
creative social campaign that included creative article post and presentation of documentary
storytelling and digital comics as the role of youth in increasing public awareness to environment. In
addition, in order to strengthening opportunities for young people to participate in the decision-
making of government-supported organizations and NGOs, our community will created real output
that can be used by any people and other communities for climate change movement & that is a
recommendation paper. The Recommendation paper is a non-exhaustive document that provides
some ideas for community members, NGOs, and public interest lawyers on how to build cases that
address the impacts of climate change from a human rights perspective based on comprehensive
data that ill gather by taking inspiration from ASCC. After that, well taking that Recommendation
paper to government so that we can collaborate with government in environment and development
decision making for the implementation of policies of sustainable development.

Would you please brief us on your past and present organizational/ professional
experience, including leadership experience? *

I have led various teams from various fields which have been carried out in student committees and
organizations in several occasions. When leading a team in various projects or work programs within
an organization or committee, there are many processes that I go through in leading these various
activities, especially when dealing directly with HR or team members who work with me. Before I
start working with the team, I always determine the values & work culture first with my team about
what work culture will be used in accordance with the team's agreement. Usually for work values
that I implement, namely Inspirational, Professional, & familial which later these values will be
lowered into a work culture which includes respect to the system (discipline towards rules), respect
to yourself (keeping yourself physically & mentally), and respect to time (respect everyone's time).
When you have started by building the foundation of these cultural values, then you start
communicating and negotiating with the various stakeholders involved and always monitoring,
evaluating, & providing input on team performance consistently while also create tools or
performance tables that are needed in a team that included to do lists, task break downs, deadlines,
and coordination flows.

conferences?
