Performance Task 2

Activity Title: Health is Wealth!

Objectives:

1. Identify ways of detecting and preventing diseases in the respiratory and circulatory
systems.
2. Appreciate the importance of a healthy lifestyle in avoiding such diseases.
3. Conduct an information dissemination activity on effective ways of taking care of the
respiratory and circulatory systems.

Key Questions:

1. What are the ways of detecting and preventing diseases in the respiratory and
circulatory systems?
2. How can lifestyle affect the functioning of the respiratory and circulatory systems?

Materials: Illustration Tools, Video Editing Applications

Directions/Procedure:

1. This activity will be done by group (5 members).


2. Review the previously learned materials relating to the respiratory and circulatory
functions and have students consider what might occur if these systems do not function
properly.
3. This provides an excellent opportunity to have resource person/s to interview online.
Ideas include:
 health care professionals
 adults who suffer from respiratory illnesses or heart disease that are
willing to share their experiences
4. Prepare sets of interview questions and let them share their knowledge and experiences
about the diseases/illnesses related to respiratory and circulatory systems and its effects
to the lifestyle of people who have these illnesses.
(Note: Do not forget to ask permission if you can record the interview. Observe
appropriate and effective communicative styles while conducting the interview.)
5. Take note of their answers for these will be the basis on their activity to conduct an
information dissemination regarding the effective ways of taking care our respiratory and
circulatory systems.
6. Then, create an infomercial (which includes the conducted interview and infographics) to
raise an awareness and show importance of having a healthy lifestyle and includes some
effective ways on avoiding such diseases. They can use Canva, any video editing
applications, etc. in making the infomercial as long as the said details are included in the
said campaign materials.
Note: The video must not exceed to 2 minutes.
7. Accomplish the journal entry (Blackboard Plan) to explain the whole process and to
summarize your learnings from this activity/task.
