The two examples of legislation/regulations that should be considered in planning and delivering a
presentation are as follows:

1. Workplace health and safety (WH&S): Workplace health and safety regulation mandates that
workplaces be physically and mentally safe and healthy for all employees, to the extent that is
practically practicable. This means that precautions must be taken to ensure that the workplace
does not affect mental health or exacerbate an existing issue. While making any presentation,
one must consider these factors.
2. Legal requirements: When giving a presentation, keep in mind your legal obligations. Your firm

 Question (4):

Describe three principles of effective communication. Provide an example to illustrate your answer.

Answer:

The three principles of effective communication are given as under:

1. It is your obligation to ensure that your message is conveyed:

Only you are responsible if there is a breakdown in communication. Consider how you want to
communicate information. Maintain a good balance in how you convey data.
2. Know who you're talking to:
Consider who you are speaking with. Is this a technical team? Are they non-technical in nature?
Is it better to be verbal or visual? Certain people require specific volumes or types of data. For a
boss, there is more information, but for a coworker, there is less..
3. Keep the business environment in mind:
Ascertain that the technical is relevant to the business challenges at hand. As needed, provide
instances or analogies. What do people need to know in order to compete their tasks? And, of
course, maintain a professional demeanor throughout.

Question (5):
Outline two reasons why a presenter may choose to use presentation aids and materials to support
presentations.

Answer:

Benefits of using presentation aids and materials to support presentations are as follows:

1. Increasing audience comprehension:

Presentation aids and materials to support presentations are helpful in improving the
understanding of target audience. One of your primary objectives as a speaker is to ensure that
your audience comprehends your speech. Presentation aids can be used to explain or
accentuate points to prevent misunderstanding.
2. Helpful in increasing Recall and Retention:
The purpose of presenting aids and materials is to increase the likelihood that your audience will
remember your speech. For example: images in the presentation are easy to memorize by the
listener.

Question (6):

Describe two types of presentation aids that can be used to support the presentation. For each one,
explain how you would use the presentation aid or material to support the presentation.

Answer:

The two types of presentation aids that can be used to support the presentation are as follows:

1. Pictures and drawings:

A photograph or a drawing may be the best method to convey an unfamiliar but crucial element.
If you were giving a lecture about the impact of plastics on ocean life, for example, you might
want to add a photo of a beached whale that had inhaled garbage. The photo may illustrate the
impact of plastic in a way that words alone cannot.
2. Maps:
When the information is clear and constrained, maps are tremendously beneficial. There are
many different types of maps, including population, weather, ocean currents, political, and
economic maps, so choose the one that best suits your needs. Select a map that emphasises the
facts you need to convey and the image you want to convey. For instance, you might determine
that a map of the Hawaiian Islands would be useful in clarifying the state's physical dimensions.
Although the map does not show the names of the islands, it is useful in orienting the audience
to the islands' direction and distance from other geographic features such as the Pacific Ocean.

Question (7):
Describe two types of presentation materials that can be used to support the presentation. For each
one, explain how you would use the presentation aid or material to support the presentation.

Answer:

The two types of presentation materials that can be used to support the presentation:

1. Presentation software:
The use of presentation software and slides to display information to your audience is a
standard practise. You've probably heard of PowerPoint, but there are a few others:
Prezi is a presentation tool that may be found at www.prezi.com.
www.sliderocket.com is a website where you can learn more about Slide Rocket.
Google Slides is a collaborative presentation tool that is available in Google Drive.
2. Putting Together High-Quality Slide Shows:
The concepts of good design should be demonstrated on the slides, which include unity,
emphasis or focal point, scale and proportion, balance, and rhythm. Tone and usability are also
important considerations for presenters.

Task 2
The task is to deliver a presentation.

Task 3
Review the presentation
3.1
The best way to receive the opinions and suggestions of your audience are the e-mails,
polls and surveys, social channels, website feedback tools etc.
At Trinity Institute, I gave a talk about effective communication to my classmates.
Because I am a shy person, this was a particularly difficult chore for me.
I also understood that people get bored during presentations all the time, especially
when the material isn't particularly interesting. However, because we are all
international students, I believed this topic was really pertinent to my classmates. I
opted to start my presentation by recounting the uses of effective communication skills.
When I started repeating this, I noticed that individuals became more attentive, and I
could tell by their body language that I had drawn their attention. For my Power Point
Presentation, I also chose a nice and current template to better match the millennia’s
personality.
I also prepared a few other resources, such as an animation and various static graphics,
to keep the audience engaged during the presentation. I think it was an excellent idea to
save the video for the conclusion, so that folks who were already "switching off" would
have one last incentive to pay attention. I was handed out the performance survey at
the end of the meeting. I chose anonymity so that no one would be embarrassed to give
me honest comments. I also asked several of my most critical and close friends in class
to tell me exactly what they thought before I started analyzing this material. They stated
they could see I was scared at first, but that after I saw people interested and asking
questions, I became more relaxed. He also mentioned that my talk was only meant to
last 14 minutes, but it ended up being 20 minutes because the audience wanted to
share their own personal experiences with accidents.
Although 80% of the participants believed the presentation aids and other materials
were adequate, I might have provided them a copy of the check-list. Because 95 percent
of the audience believed the talk was interesting, I considered it a success. Surprisingly,
despite the fact that my coworkers were from all countries and backgrounds, the
majority of them believed I employed clear communication at all times. Unfortunately,
only half of them thought I knew enough about the subject. I believe 15 minutes was
insufficient to demonstrate everything I know about it, and I'm sad my expertise came
across as extremely limited. At least 90% of students stated they understood the
presentation completely, and a significant majority of classmates thought it was well-
organized. I believe that in the future, I should better time everything and be more firm
when asking them to talk about their experiences at a different time. I'll also make sure
to distribute any useful materials, such as the check-list template.
Furthermore, I will practice the presentation with friends several times ahead so that I
am not too scared when presenting it in front of an audience.
Overall, I thought the presentation was outstanding, and I was pleased with the survey
results. There aren't many modifications I'd have to do in order to achieve even greater
results, and I'm proud of my overall performance. I'd keep the slide design because it
was visually pleasing, and if I had to change anything, I'd definitely utilize more nice
films instead of talking the entire time.
