Toothache
Etymology: The word "odontalgia" is formed with Greek roots and means
"toothache". Its lexical components are: odous, odontos (tooth) and algos
(pain), plus the suffix -ia (quality).
Definition: Toothache is pain around the jaw or face. Usually the cause is a
problem with a tooth. The cause of toothache can be irritation of a nerve at
the root, infection, cavities, or loss of a tooth.
What to take for toothache?
Pain can be relieved with pain relievers such as acetaminophen or non-
steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen,
metamizole, or diclofenac. It is advisable to consult with the doctor before
taking them.
Relationship with the health sector: There are some oral disorders that
can cause toothache, such as: Caries, Pulpitis, Periapical abscesses,
Trauma, A wisdom tooth that presses on the gum tissue (causing
pericoronitis) Tooth decay is can largely prevent forever. Oral hygiene,
