Truthand Fact
J E S S E D U P L A N T I S
Have you ever wondered what the difference is
between a Christian who lives victoriously and one
who is defeated? You know what I’m talking about.
The same problems come against both of them, but
one prays and hell trembles. Sickness doesn’t stay on
their body, and everything they touch seems to excel
and prosper. They’re the person you call when your
kids are sick.
Then there’s the other one. They go to the same
church and study the same translation of the Bible.
They love the Lord and are just as good of a person.
Yet they catch every virus that passes through town,
can’t keep a job, and can’t keep a dollar!
What’s the difference? Is God a respecter of
persons? No! The difference in these Christians
is that one lives by truth and the other lives by
fact. The difference between truth and fact is the
difference between a life of empty promises and a

life empowered by the living, breathing, creating,
omniscient, omnipresent God of the universe. You
see, cancer is a fact. AIDS is a fact. High blood
pressure is a fact. Depression is a fact. Debt is a fact.
Poverty is a fact. Loneliness is a fact.
“Brother Jesse, are you denying that these things
are facts of life?”
No, I’m not denying that the facts exist. I’m just
denying their right to hang around when I tell them
to go in Jesus’ name.
People spent years trying to explain the facts to
me. “You’ll never go on television.” “You’ll never live
on a cash basis.” Those were facts, but I didn’t get
disillusioned by them. I took the truth of Mark 9:23
instead: “All things are possible to him that believeth.”
I believed it, trusted in it, adhered to it, and relied
on it. When people tried to pull me away from the
Word, I just stuck like glue. Today, the truth is that
we’re on television around the world, and we do live
on a cash basis.
People say, “Now, let’s don’t get crazy with this.” I
don’t get crazy with it; I just believe it. Jesus said the
truth would set us free. It’ll set us free from facts.
Facts are cold, impersonal, detached, and
disassociated with life. I like what Webster’s
Unabridged Dictionary calls fact: “a crime; a wrong
or unlawful deed.” Think about cancer. It’s cold,
impersonal, and detached from life. It’s an assassin. I
don’t deny that the assassin exists. I just deny it the
right to assassinate me or mine.
Truth, on the other hand, is warm, living, creative,
saving, transforming, and always changes the one who
receives it into a more humble, holy person. So, what
is truth?
Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea,
asked Jesus in John 18:38, “What is truth?” When
Jesus did not defend Himself, Pilate smarted off and
said, “Speakest Thou not unto me? Knowest Thou not that
I have power to crucify Thee, and have power to release
Thee?” ( John 19:10).
Pilate just stated a fact, but Jesus spoke the truth.
Jesus answered, and I’ll paraphrase, ‘You don’t have
anything unless My Father gives it to you.’
Just like God is a higher power than man, truth is
a higher power than fact. Since Jesus is the truth, we’d
better be living by what He says. “Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by Me” ( John 14:6).
Facts Without Truth = Error
Truth that is not experienced is no better than
error and is equally dangerous. Religious instruction,
however sound, is not enough by itself. Think about
the scribes and Pharisees—they were studious, they
started Hebrew school at age three, and they could
recite the five books of the law by the time they were
six years old. It takes intelligence to do that. They
weren’t victims of error, they just didn’t experience the
truth. They looked at Jesus as a fact, saying “He’s from
Galilee. Nothing good comes out of Galilee.”
They met Jesus, talked with Him, and listened to
His sermons. The truth was right in front of them but
they never experienced Him. When they messed up
His Father’s house, He picked up a whip and started
swinging. Jesus called them snakes, hypocrites, and
vipers, which really got a lot of attention!
There are people today who have experienced
salvation through Jesus but have never been filled
with His Holy Spirit. That’s like having the Gospel of
light without sight. You can have light without sight
and you’re still a blind man. There are people who
have read the Bible in Greek, and they’ve read the
Bible in Hebrew, and yet they’ve never understood it.
Why? Because they didn’t read it with the power of
the Holy Ghost.
When I got saved, I had the light but I didn’t
have any sight. I was excited about Jesus but didn’t
know what to do about it. It was like having a loaded
machine gun and not knowing where the trigger
was...and the devil knew it!
But when I was filled with the Holy Ghost, I
found my sight. The devil said, “Look out, boys, he’s
found the trigger! We’ve got to get out of here!”
Jesus was real clear about what He wanted us to
do. He said it like it was no big deal: “Heal the sick,
cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye
have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).
Regardless of the facts, that’s the truth about what
Jesus told us to do. He went even further in John
14:12 when He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also;
and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto
My Father.”
Have you messed up any funerals lately? Jesus
wasn’t too much on premature death. He couldn’t go
to funerals because He ruined things. You couldn’t
even invite Him to view the body. He’d just look at
them and say, “Get up.”
The dead person would sit up and say, “I never
wanted to be dead anyway.” Jesus didn’t care if the
flowers had arrived or how long the body was dead.
Truth + Spirit = Fire
God’s thoughts belong to the world of spirit;
man’s to the world of intellect. Theological facts are
like the altar of Elijah at Mt. Carmel before the fire
came: totally correct and properly laid out, but cold.
The Bible tells us to worship God in spirit and
in truth ( John 4:23). That means there are two
components to the victorious life: spirit and truth.
When the truth and spirit connect, fire falls on the
altar of your heart and things start happening.

Truth Changes Facts
I’ve heard people say, “I don’t know why I’m not
making it.” They forgot that Proverbs 18:21 says,
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” You
have what you’ve been saying.
“Well, you know, Mama had diabetes. Uncle Fred
had diabetes. Grandma had diabetes. Grandma’s dog
had diabetes. Diabetes runs in our family.”
Why, then, are you shocked when you get diabetes?
You believed the facts, and your faith worked.
People go to Walmart
and buy Pepto-Bismol
because it’s on sale. The
husband will say, “Get a
case, Honey.” They pack it
in the cart and drive home.

with taking medicine or
going to the doctor. It’s not a lack of faith that keeps
you from experiencing a healing miracle. That’s a
lie the devil sold you. You don’t lack faith. God said
He gives each man the measure of faith. You just
used up what you had. See, faith doesn’t stack up.
The Bible says “faith cometh by hearing.” Notice it
doesn’t say “faith came.” It says it “cometh”—present
tense and ongoing.
The Bible says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
Faith comes by “hearing,” not by “heard.”
Don’t say, “I heard that message 37 years ago!”
It’s not going to work today. You used up the faith
you got from that message a long time ago. There
are some of you that got healed one time and not
another. Why? You used up your faith on the last

healing. That’s one reason I hate to see people miss
church. The devil knows your faith is being used up
and says, “Let’s bust him with something.”
If sickness and disease attack your body, the
fact may be, “It’s terminal. You’ve got six months
to live.” But the truth in 1 Peter 2:24 says that by
Jesus’ stripes you were healed! Proverbs 4:22 says
the Word is health to all your flesh. Don’t forget
your benefits in Psalm 103:1-3 either. He heals all
of your diseases, bless His holy name!
If you’re going to live above the facts of life,
you have to continually fill yourself with the
uncompromised truth of God’s Word. It doesn’t
happen overnight. When
your five-year-old asks for a
motorcycle, he isn’t mature
enough to receive it. There are
some things we’re big enough
to pray for but not mature
enough yet to receive.
So, how do you start?
You start by making a
quality decision, right
now, to believe the truth
regardless of the facts. It’s
never too late to start. If
you’re a representative of
God, you have the power of attorney to use the
name of Jesus. You’re His ambassador and the
world is crying for help.
Just think, someday soon the Church may start
believing the truth and acting like Jesus did. Can
you imagine coming home from a business trip,
your spouse meets you at the airport and says,
“Well, what happened?”
“Oh, everything was pretty normal. Fourteen
people were raised from the dead. A bunch of sick
folks were healed. We went to the cemetery and
wiped the place out. Some people got mad because
they’d already paid for the funeral and couldn’t get
a refund.”
“Is that a fact?”
“Yeah, it’s also the truth!”
Receive the Truth of Christ
in Your Life Today!
Friend, no matter where you are or where you’ve been, you can
live a life empowered by the living, breathing, creating, omniscient,
omnipresent God of the universe. He loves you and not only does
He promise you eternal life in Heaven, but also an overcoming,
abundant life here on earth ( John 10:10). All it takes is a quality
decision to believe and receive the truth of His divine plan of
salvation through Jesus Christ.

home to God where you belong, would you take a moment and pray with me today?
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son. I know that I need
You. I believe that You are my God, my Maker, and my Father—and I believe that You sent
Your only begotten Son to die for me. I believe that He died and rose again for me so that I
could be washed clean of all my sins. Jesus, come into my life. Wash me clean and create a new
heart in me now. Thank You for paying the price for me. From this point on, I will seek to serve
You. I ask that You fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit and help me find my destiny in
You. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me! My new life starts right now, Lord. This is my God-day
and I’m never turning back! May Your blessings follow me all the days of my life as I learn
from You. I want the best You have for me in every way, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

is now written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Heaven will be your home when you die, and a

 Obeying the Call
to Preach the Gospel to the World
Each time I travel to preach the Gospel, the goal is
to reach people and change lives for Christ. I want to
shed light on the love of God—the love that propels us
to salvation, healing, prosperity, favor, victory, and every
other good thing that comes from above.
For over 41 years, I have been focused on my
calling to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the
world. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life” ( John
3:16). Everlasting life is about more than just
making it to Heaven. It’s about beginning to really
live and advance in every area right here on earth.
That is why world evangelism has been the driving
vision of my ministry from its inception in 1978. I
have been passionately reaching people and changing
lives by preaching the Gospel of Jesus in almost 4,000
different churches and conventions held around the
world. I have been going non-stop, rescuing souls from
the pit of hell and introducing the lost to Christ in
meetings across the globe. I’ve passionately obeyed the

Lord’s command to “Go into all the world and preach
the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT), and my
commitment has never wavered.
Now, more than ever, I am determined to make
sure every person hears the Good News. I am
compelled by the Spirit and hear the cry of people
from every part of the world in the same way that
the apostle Paul heard the Macedonian cry in
Acts 16:9-10. I am obeying the call to preach the
Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
God has challenged me to believe Him for
an aircraft that will fly one-stop anywhere in
the world to preach His Gospel. This will be an
amazing evangelistic tool
that will take me further
than I’ve ever been able to
go, and I want you to believe

When Jesse and I stepped out into full-time
ministry in 1978, we had no idea of the impact that
our ministry would have on so many around the
world. When we think about the past 41 years of
ministry in over 4,000 different churches, our hearts
are flooded with thanksgiving to God for every
person that has been reached and every life that has
been changed through our ministry. The testimonies
first came to us through hand notes at meetings,
then through the mail, and now, more recently,
through our ministry website and social media. We
are thankful for every person that has taken the
time to write to us, and we love sharing them in our
ministry publications—from our first single-page,
one color, bi-monthly newsletter in 1981 to this full
color, 28-page, monthly magazine.
Psalm 75:1 says, “Unto Thee, O God, do we give
thanks, unto Thee do we give thanks: for that Thy Name
is near Thy wondrous works declare.” As you read each
glorious moment below, I pray that you will give
God thanks along with us for His wonderful works
in these precious lives.

Washington: I tried to kill myself and went to Hell,
yikes! It was more like outer darkness as described
in the Bible. It was only a brief second; yet it was
enough. I grew up knowing about Jesus, although
I fell away. I became involved in the demonic and
practiced pharmacia. My mind was completely
seared. I was full of hatred and every sort of
perversion. I was out to steal, kill, and destroy! Then
I met Jesus. Now I serve a Father Who is so great—
He has to be revealed! I just would like to tell you
and Cathy thank you. I appreciate what a blessing
you and your ministry have been in my life. So, a
BIG “THANK YOU!” I just give all the glory to
God! May God bless the works of your hands as you
help people and change lives.
Alabama: Brother Jesse, I wanted to let you know
how much I enjoy watching Hanging with Jesse.
My husband, son, and I came to your Visionary
Conference as a surprise to my son. He had
always wanted to hear you preach in person. We
did not have a clue where to visit, shop, sightsee,
or eat; therefore we mostly stayed at the hotel or
walked across the street to watch the boats on the
Mississippi River. Watching Hanging with Jesse has
opened up the door for places to visit the next time
we can attend the Visionary Conference. Thank you
for taking time out of your busy schedule to share
with all of us the places you like to go. Since our son
was a small child, you were one of the only ministers
that could keep his attention. I homeschooled him
from third grade until he graduated in May 2018.
When he was in the eighth grade, he was learning
to write business letters. He chose to write and mail
a letter to you. As you requested in the letter you
returned to him, he mailed you a picture to put on
your prayer wall. He is now in his second semester
of college as a Music Industry major. Thank you for
being such a positive influence in his life for all of
these years. I know God will continue to bless you
and Sister Cathy richly as you further His Kingdom.

Canada: My wife was struggling in accepting a very
expensive gift. We’ve been married for 18 years,
and I’ve been putting money aside to upgrade her
engagement ring for the last 15 years. Last week the
diamond came, and after meeting a jeweler, my wife
realized the rough dollar amount that was being spent
is equal to a new car. Now in a state of shock and
despair, believing that she is “unworthy” of such a gift,
she’s been locked into a downward spiral. I’ve tried to
communicate with her and to give support, praying
that she will turn, but nothing was happening. Then,
Wham! Last night at your meeting, God spoke with
your voice. Message received! Impeccable timing!
My wife reached over and placed her hand on top of
mine during the service, and by that look in her eye
(yes, that look we see from time to time), I knew her
mind and heart were in sync. I just wanted to say,
“Bless you, Brother.” As Christians, we need to accept
gifts, amen?! P.S. Here’s the best part. In the offering
that night, we were debating about what to give. I
had a pen in hand and was filling out your envelope,
unknowing that my wife also had a pen in hand and
was filling out a cheque at the same time. Then the
voice of “Jesse” spoke once more: “One thousand for
Australia.” I looked over at my wife, holding up my
envelope and grinning, because I had already written
$1,000 on it just seconds before you said anything.
Then I noticed her face…she had the same smile, and
in her outstretched hand would you believe there was
a completed cheque made out for that exact dollar
amount as well? Wow, that’s what I call having your
entire being (mind, body, and soul) in sync with God!
Praise God for sending you to Canada. Thanks for
patching us through and patching us up!
Idaho: We serve a great God who answers prayers.
Thank you all at JDM for being there in our time of
need. At the time I made the prayer request, on July
4, Leon, my great grandson, was not conscious, but by
early morning he was awake and knew every member
of the family that was there. The next afternoon he
was out of the ICU and in the step-down unit. By
the third day, he was up and walking with help and
progressed steadily thereafter. On July 10 he was
released from the hospital. He still has some issues
that follow a brain injury and the skull fracture is still
healing, but by the grace of Almighty God, he will
recover completely. Due to the prayers and the love
and support that Leon received from believers, his
father has returned to church. Again, God bless you
and Cathy for being there in our time of need.
Mississippi: On November 9, 2015, my then
34-year-old daughter arrived unresponsive at the ER
with a massive, severe brain bleed filling her frontal
ventricle lobe. Neurosurgeons did not think that she
would survive; in fact, two called her dad in Seattle
to sign a release to let her expire. This was after I told
them, “Yes, proceed. I’m claiming a miracle healing!”
While on life support for 3 weeks, only her beautiful
eyes would track. Three and a half years later, with
God’s blessing and hard therapy sessions 3 days
per week, God honored all the prayers and she was
in attendance at the 2019 Visionary Conference.
Incredibly, on August 10, 2018, I was admitted to
the same ER and the same neurosurgeons removed a
massive brain tumor, 5.5 in size in a space of 6. God
has blessed us immeasurably and the doctors call us
amazing. Not us…only God! A person from your
prayer team has prayed for my daughter for about
20 years. My daughter is now 38 and has renewed
her relationship with Jesus. She has told me so many
times, “I know for sure there is a God!” Thank you for
your ministry and love for our good Lord.
Massachusetts: I watch you online. Your preaching is
full of fire that stirs my soul. When you preach from
the Bible and your copious notes, it nourishes my soul
as well. God bless and protect you and Pastor Cathy
during your travels.
Alabama: Thank you for praying for my family. The
insurance company said they weren’t going to pay for
my wife’s funeral, but through the many prayers from
everyone, they changed their mind and paid all of it,
plus I received $130.00 back. Thank you and Sister
Cathy for your prayers. She loved you both very much.
Facebook: I was at the 2019 Southwest Believers’
Convention on Wednesday night when Jesse gave
an altar call for those addicted to pornography,
and 100-200 men and women came forward. As
a former addict, I stretched out my hands with
the rest of the congregation and prayed for these
people trapped in the prison of porn. I then became
overwhelmed with thanksgiving for the Lord’s
deliverance and presence in my life. Later that night,
on the way home, I was overcome by the Holy Spirit
and for the first time in my life I received the gift
of tongues. My wife videoed the entire progression.
This was the most crazy, unexplainable spiritual
experience of my life. God is amazing!!! Kenneth
and Jesse are awesome!

 The Truth about
HEALING
C A T H Y D U P L A N T I S
Healing is for today. It did not pass away with
the disciples or stop when Jesus left the earth. His
plan was that we continue laying hands on the sick
and watch them recover. However, healing is not
just a New Testament experience that began with
the ministry of Jesus and continued through His
disciples. Healing has always been an established
truth of the Bible.
Even though the curse of sickness came into
the earth through Adam’s disobedience, healing was
still available by faith. Why else would Abraham
pray for it? Genesis 20:17 says, “So Abraham prayed
unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and
his maidservants; and they bare children.” Apparently,

Abraham knew that healing was God’s will for
mankind.
Regardless of any personal experience, the Bible
must be our final authority that healing belongs to
us. In Exodus 15:26, God is revealed as our Healer: “I
am the Lord Who heals you” (NKJV). When we follow
His instructions in Deuteronomy 7:15, God’s promise
to us is that He “will take away from you all sickness”
(NKJV). And Isaiah 53:4-5 boldly declares, “Surely
He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…and by
His stripes we are healed” (NKJV). The Bible has many
more promises and examples that clearly establish that
our God has made healing available to His children by
faith. Healing is a settled fact.

God Is Willing
However, the first step is realizing that it is always
God’s will to heal. The Word of God settled this issue
in Matthew 8:2-3: “And, behold, there came a leper and
worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst
make me clean. And Jesus put forth His hand, and touched
him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his
leprosy was cleansed.”
Like most people, the question of the leper to
Jesus was not, “Can You heal me?” There was no
doubt in the leper’s mind about Jesus’ power to heal.
He must have heard about many other great miracles
of healing and was convinced that Jesus was able to
make him clean from that horrible disease. His only
concern that day was “if Thou wilt.” Jesus settled the
issue once and for all with a simple statement, “I will.”
Jesse and I know that faith begins where the will
of God is known. We accept the fact that the Word
of God is final authority on the subject of healing.
This is why you will never hear us say, “If it be Your
will” when praying for healing. Although it may
sound very holy and religious to close a prayer that
way, it’s a lethal statement when it is attached to the
prayer of faith.
However, when seeking God’s will about a
matter, the prayer of consecration could contain
the question, “if it be your will.” In the Garden
of Gethsemane, Jesus sweat drops of blood as He
fervently prayed, “Father, if Thou be willing, remove
this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine,
be done” (Luke 22:42). When Jesus prayed this
prayer of consecration, it had absolutely nothing to
do with healing.
Paul’s Thorn: Trouble
Whenever you make a solid stand on the will
of God concerning healing, someone usually brings
up Paul’s thorn in the flesh, saying he was sickly.
However, in 2 Corinthians 12:7 (AMPC) Paul wrote,
“And to keep me from being puffed up and too much
elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these
revelations, there was given me a thorn (a splinter) in the
flesh, a messenger of Satan, to rack and buffet and harass
me, to keep me from being excessively exalted.”
Paul was very specific about how he was buffeted
by this nasty thorn:

Thrice was I beaten with rods, once
was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck,
a night and a day I have been in the deep;
In journeyings often, in perils of
waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by
mine own countrymen, in perils by the

in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in
perils among false brethren;
In weariness and painfulness, in
watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in
fastings often, in cold and nakedness...

2 Corinthians 11:24-27, 32-33
In several chapters before this passage, Paul had
already described how he was overcoming troubling
situations that had come to him because he preached
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 he
wrote, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not
forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” Although Paul
did not deny all the trouble, he was determined to
focus on the faith side instead of the attacks.
I am not saying that Paul was never attacked
in his flesh or never needed to be personally healed.
Remember the snake bite? The people standing
around expected him to swell up and die, but Paul
shook off the snake into the fire and wasn’t harmed
at all. We can see that no matter what type of attack
the devil launched, Paul overcame it. In 2 Timothy
3:10-11 AMPC, Paul boldly wrote his testimony of
victory: “Now you have closely observed and diligently
followed my teaching, conduct, purpose in life, faith,
patience, love, steadfastness, persecutions, sufferings—such
as occurred to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra,
persecutions I endured, but out of them all the Lord
delivered me.”

 The Power
of
THANKS
J E S S E D U P L A N T I S
This month we celebrate the Thanksgiving
holiday here in the USA. Homes around the
country will say a prayer and thank God for His
blessings. But to me, expressing gratitude to God is
something we should do every single day—and not
just over the food. It’s important that we not only
say “thank you” to God every day, but that we teach
others how powerful it really is to give thanks to
God. There is power in being thankful to Him.
There is something about those two words
“thank you.” When given with sincerity, nearly
everyone responds favorably. God is interested in
hearing us express ourselves to Him. If you look
throughout the Word, you will be astonished at how
often we are led to be thankful.
In Colossians 3:17, the Word says, “And
whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of

the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by
Him.” Isn’t that a wonderful scripture? Think about
it: Whatever you say or do, do it in the name of Jesus
and give thanks to God. Now, that’s a big statement!
God is obviously serious about thanksgiving.
Giving Thanks Releases God’s
Supernatural Power
Do you want to know why God wants us to
give thanks? Because giving thanks to God is one
of the keys to releasing His supernatural power in
our life. A grateful heart is a humble heart; one that
recognizes that everything God says to us and does
for us is a wonderful gift. Even the breath in our
bodies is on loan from Him!
The will of God is what every Christian should
seek and live for. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, the Word
says, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of
God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Do you want God
to release His supernatural power in you spiritually,
physically, and financially? Do a simple exercise and
start giving more thanks—start living a life that
expresses more gratitude to God and teach others
to do the same. Start small. Be sincere. And just
watch what God will do! There is something about a
grateful heart that opens doors.
Now, sometimes it is hard to be thankful. I don’t
know about you, but I like it a whole lot better when
everything is going well. It makes for a good day. But
I’ve decided that it doesn’t matter what the day is like,
I’m going to give thanks to God for His Word, for His
power working in my life, and for all that He is and
does. Whatever the day, He made it, and I’m going to
find some joy in it, starting first thing in the morning.
Expressing Your Gratitude Makes a
Big Difference
I believe so much in being grateful to God that I
find myself constantly reminding myself to say “thank
you” to God for everything—especially to those
Partners and friends who care about this ministry
so much and who lift us up to God in prayer. That
brings me to another point: You should always show
gratitude to those who support the vision God has
given you. Never, ever take God or people for granted!
Be thankful for people willing to stand alongside you
and get the message out…and don’t just think it; say it.
If God wants to hear it regularly, I believe they do, too!
Expressing your gratitude can make a big
difference in your life. You see, by saying “thank you”
to God so much, you are continually reminding both
yourself and the devil of God’s rank—He’s at the top
and there is none who compare with Him. So, those
problems trying to destroy your life suddenly hit a
wall of power.
Gratitude is exactly the opposite of what Satan
would want you to do. He wants you to complain and
blame God. He is the accuser of the brethren, and he
will accuse God, too. Remember the Garden of Eden?
When you don’t do what he wants and thank God
instead—not for the attack, but for His power to help
you overcome anything—that attitude changes your
outlook and reinforces your faith.
All of a sudden, you look at a challenge as an
opportunity to achieve something. Then, your faith
releases God’s power in your life. Suddenly, you are
accomplishing what you never thought you could
accomplish, and what seemed impossible suddenly
starts coming to pass. This is a revelation. It’s
manifestation time.
As I often say, a revelation without a
manifestation is a missed opportunity. I’m not going
to miss my opportunity, and I don’t believe that you
will either. Are you facing a challenge right now?
Start thanking God for what He said in His Word.
Instead of focusing on the challenge, see it as an
opportunity to achieve something—to obtain the
promises of God in that area. Turn that challenge
into an opportunity for God to show up and show
out! Teach this to others. There is nothing you can’t do
with God on your side…but you’re going to have to
give Him thanks!
A Spirit of Gratitude Puts Everything
in Perspective
I was in prayer many years ago when the Lord
said, “Jesse, don’t put your faith on something
possible. You can get that done with good, old hard
work.” The Lord said, “Put your faith on something
impossible. Go ahead, Jesse, give Me a job.” I almost
jumped out of my skin.
You see, God wants to show Himself strong
to you and to me. He wants to spur us to believe
we can do anything, but first He needs to get us to
believe HE can do anything! A spirit of gratitude
reminds us of Who God is. It puts everything in
perspective very quickly.
The more we give thanks with sincerity, the more
we realize just how much God has already done…
which gives us hope that He will do even more. He’s
a big God, capable of big things. You are His kid, and
His Spirit is flowing through you. That means you are
capable of doing big things, but you must stay humble
enough to continually give Him thanks.
There is power in a grateful heart. It’s about
