Everything about her

The movie entitled “everything about her” was presented by Star Cinema for the
families that have a difficult problems in life. The director of this movie is Joyce E.
Bernal.

Vivian (Vilma Santos) in the movie, she plays the role of a very successful
woman who has diagnose with cancer. Nothing seems capable to topple her, except
cancer. She takes Jacai (Angel Locsin) to her service as her private nurse, acting as a
personal assistant too. The character of Angel Locsin was a winner here, she kept her
bubbly devoted nurse attitude despite the rudeness of her boss, she’s the one too who
persuades Albert (Xian Lim), Vivian’s estranged son, to come back and look out for her
ill mother. He is very angry at his mom who spent more time in the office than with him.
When his parents separated, he chose to go with his father because he was the main
caregiver.

This movie is about understanding and forgiveness. Not just between people and
their expectations of life but of oneself with life itself. Overall it’s a good movie which
explores mainly parent-children relationship but also gives a clear view about
unpredictable cancer is.

I was impressed with Angel’s portrayal of Jaica the smart, confident private nurse
who does not seem to take life seriously. Even she rejected sometimes, he keeps going
on. Even Vivian treat her as a worthless person, she doesn’t care as long she’s help
her. She’s one of a kind. She is very strong outside but I know she’s inside. And I am
impressed too on how Vivian did her role. It is great.

Finally, this will not be a silly comedy but it’s not the overly soul breaking drama
movie you may have expected either. I found it rather soothing and earth grounded yet
at the same time refreshing. It’s rare to find a movie like this which can deal with life and
the ending without being overbearing gives away a bittersweet sensation.

All in all, I loved the movie because it carried an inspiring message about families
and balancing work in life with one’s personal and professional as well as spiritual life. It
is a story of forgiveness and love and the way it was presented was just splendid. It was
an impeccable combination of an excellent story, a genuine warm message, impressing
acting and a performance that was on point throughout the whole film.
